Some places just pull you in the moment you get inside. This two bedroom apartment at The Lofts in Downtown Dubai does that for me. I even found myself by the windows longer than I meant to be, just checking out the view over downtown. There is something about seeing the city from up high like this. Honestly even after so many viewings it is still easy to just stop and stare for a minute.

You come in and it feels open right away. The living room is bright and everything looks clean with the natural light that pours in from these big floor to ceiling windows. Grocery stores and pharmacies are always open and you do not really need to drive unless you want to.

The Lofts itself is one of downtown's more relaxed buildings. You feel the community vibe but no one is in your business. Security is friendly but keeps a good eye. The lobby is airy and the lifts move fast which becomes important when you are running late. You get covered parking so no fighting for spots. The gym feels real not just a couple machines. The pool for adults gets the sun most of the day so if you want to swim that is actually possible. There is a separate spot for kids and a garden area where you sometimes see neighbors reading or chatting. People like the games room and even the mini theater has small gatherings now and then. There is a squash court and if you are the barbecue type you can find space for that as well.

Getting around is as simple as you would want. Metro is close if you want to ditch the car or just try something different. Taxis are always circling.
