Rimal 1, Rimal, Jumeirah Beach Residence
Some places just make you pause at the door for a second. This two bedroom apartment in Rimal over in Jumeirah Beach Residence feels like that. I remember opening the door and just taking a slow walk through the living room. It gets so much natural light in here that in the late morning you almost do not need to turn lamps on at all. Big windows on two sides look straight out over the marina and you also catch a bit of sea, with the city skyline off behind it. I stood by one of those windows for a while and could see boats coming in and out and then after a while, a couple of kids on bikes zipping down JBR Walk below. You get this buzz of life from the street but inside the apartment it is quiet. Actually, you hardly hear anything at all, even when the city is busy.
The living area really fits anyone who likes a bit of space to breathe. I found myself wandering between the couch and kitchen area just to look at everything. The finishes are all simple and fresh. Whites and greys that do not shout at you but feel clean and neat. The kitchen is the sort where you would actually make a meal, not just reheat takeaway. Full sized fridge, decent counter space, cupboards that close softly. There was this smell of clean air, mixed with coffee from somewhere below. It is not fancy for the sake of it, just well put together and easy to keep nice. Bedrooms are tucked off a little hall, so you get privacy if someone comes in late. The main bedroom has a view too and the bed's one of those where you picture yourself reading at night, not just going to sleep because you are tired. Bathrooms here are a bit more grown up, with big glass showers. Sometimes in places like this, showers run too hot or cold but these ones just work right out of the tap. Small thing but after a long week, it just matters.
One of the best things about being in Rimal is really the lifestyle. You step outside and you are right on JBR Walk. Cafes all along the street, some of them open late, and I am sure you will find your favorite after a week or two. I saw people jogging in the morning and later in the evening you get families in the park areas or everyone heading down to the sea. The beach itself is just a quick stroll away. Sometimes late in the afternoon you get a breeze off the water that makes the air feel lighter. Plus, there is this feeling that everything is just reachable, even on foot, which is always a plus in Dubai. On the days you want to stay home, you have a pool downstairs and it gets sun most of the day, so water is just the right temperature. There is a gym that's good enough for most needs with newer equipment, and a sauna too. If you have kids, there is a play area that looked busy even on a weekday. Security is friendly here and the lobby has this calm, well watched feel but it's not stiff or overly formal.
Marina and sea views are a real draw. Some evenings you get these sunsets that turn the windows gold. On weekends you might see a few yachts lit up in the marina, and it's the kind of thing that you probably would not get tired of, at least I would not. Evenings out are easy. There are so many options for food within five minutes. Quick bite or dinner with friends, and you do not have to drive far. Even doing the weekly shopping is simple because stores are very close.
You could live here solo or as a couple, or honestly it would work for small families too. Everything is in reach and it feels easy. The only way to know if this two bedroom apartment in Jumeirah Beach Residence feels right for you is to come see it yourself.
