Some places just seem to slow you down in the best way. This two bedroom apartment in Park Lane at Dubai Hills Estate did that for me. The first thing I did when I walked in was head straight to the window and just take a second. You see green everywhere. The park is right there so close that you can probably hear kids laughing sometimes if the windows are open. I'll be honest it does not have the feeling of a brand new off plan home that's all sharp angles and no warmth. It feels like somewhere you settle in quickly the way sunlight comes in and fills up the living room.
You'll notice how wide the living and dining space actually is. I walked around picturing a book on the coffee table some coffee mugs left out after a lazy weekend morning. The kitchen opens up to everything too not the kind where you feel stuck in the back and missing the conversation. It actually feels like a space where someone would cook for real not just pop things in the microwave. Appliances and cabinet spaces are well thought through so you do not have that squeezed awkward feeling. The way the layout is done you can be talking to friends in the living space while cooking and still have everyone together.
Both bedrooms surprised me for the size. The master especially just feels easy to make your own. You also get that walk in bathroom with its privacy. I imagine opening the curtains in the morning and seeing a wall of green right outside. It is rare in Dubai to get that kind of view especially from higher up in a building. The windows really make the difference here. They are big and let in this morning brightness that's gentle not harsh. Honestly sometimes you could almost forget your phone and just watch the city wake up.
Park Lane itself is turning into one of those neighbourhoods that feels fresh. There is a sense of something new but not at all unfinished. Around Dubai Hills Estate it always amazes me how the streets feel more relaxed even though you are in the middle of Dubai. Cafes are close so if you are a coffee person you do not have to drive far for a decent cup. You are also in a great spot if you like keeping active. Fitness facilities are right nearby and of course the park is more than just a patch of grass outside your window. People use it. I have seen kids on bikes and people having early morning stretches. It's a little peaceful pocket in the city.
Being in Dubai Hills Estate you always feel like you have options. The big Dubai Hills Mall is not far so it is easy to pop over for shopping or some food without thinking twice. Schools are also nearby which takes a lot of the stress out for families. You see people out walking in the evenings or sitting at cafes with friends after work. The whole area is planned around making everyday life a little easier and honestly it works.
What is nice about this apartment especially is that it is a resale of an off plan home. So you still get that untouched new build feeling but you do not have to wait ages to move in or deal with the unknowns. You can just step in and make it your own. It is about a comfortable amount of space for two or even a small family at approximately 1574 square feet and you feel it in each room rather than reading a number on a page.
