Aykon Nine Elms, Nine Elms, London
Some homes just have a certain kind of welcome when you walk in. This two bedroom apartment at Aykon Nine Elms, right in the heart of London, really gives you that. I remember stepping inside and just pausing for a second because the view just pulls you to the window every single time. You see the River Thames in full and it is not the kind of view you can look at once and forget. Light floods in all day long so it always feels fresh and different. Sometimes late afternoon sun turns the whole space this soft gold and honestly you might just forget what you came here to do and end up sitting by the glass for a bit instead.
Nine Elms is one of those neighborhoods in London that has changed so much. Busy with people coming and going. Coffee shops seem to pop up everywhere. Cyclists and families are always down on the street below. Inside though it goes quiet. The entry feels more like one of those boutique hotels you sometimes find by accident. I stood in the lobby for a bit and almost forgot I was in London right up until a red bus rolled by outside and snapped me back. The building itself is new and really stands out if you walk by on the street.
This apartment is a bit special in its own right. It is actually the first place in London designed by Versace Home and even though I did not know what that would mean at first you do notice it as soon as you walk in. It is not loud just very stylish in a way that feels grown up. The wallpaper is one of those small things you keep noticing and the handles and floors all have this smooth, almost quiet luxury feel. The main room and kitchen feel like they are set up for someone who cooks for real not just someone who wants to look like they do. There is plenty of space to lay out groceries on the worktop and the appliances are all shiny and solid but not overwhelming. Even the sink setup just makes it seem like you will actually want to prep a meal here.
Moving through you get to the bedrooms and one thing that really stands out is the light. That London morning glow slips in and honestly it is tough not to just stay put. Both bedrooms have solid wood under your feet which adds to the calm. Somewhere you can actually recharge. There is storage built in too and it somehow feels bigger when you open it up, so keeping things tidy is simple even if you are not super organized. The bathrooms stood out for me as well with marble worked through and good lighting so you can get ready without doing a little dance in front of the mirror just to see your face.
When you look at the amenities everything feels more like extra living space than just tick boxes on a brochure. The gym has big city views and so much equipment that there's always something free. The indoor pool has mosaic designs by Versace and it catches the light in such a nice way you might want to take a swim just to see the colors in the water. If you are craving a movie night there is a private cinema perfect for that. The play area draws in families and the rooftop garden is a surprise with its open London views you sometimes see people just relaxing up there tea in hand looking over the river and the city.
Living here feels pretty sorted from day one. There is a concierge who actually seems to learn your name by heart and if you want the place cleaned or dining brought up all you have to do is ask. Valet parking means no circling around outside which in London is rare.
You are tucked away but still close to everything. The tube is easy to reach and a walk along the Thames leads you right back into the heart of the city. There is always a coffee shop not far and sometimes you catch a bit of music from below but up here it is peaceful.
The only way to really know if it fits you is to come see it. Take a wander and just feel it for yourself. If you want more info or just want to walk around the place reach out any time. At LuxuryProperty.com we just want to make your next move feel as comfortable as possible.
