Marquise Square, Business Bay
Some places have a certain feel from the minute you open the door. That is what happened when I stepped into this two bedroom apartment in Marquise Square, right in Business Bay. Everything felt surprisingly easy for a moment. The natural light in here is honestly the first thing I noticed. Sunlight just spills straight in through those big floor to ceiling windows and you get a proper view of the Burj Khalifa. Not off to the side or hidden behind a building but right there wherever you look. Sometimes it is even hard to believe you are in the busy center of Dubai when you stand by that window and listen. If you get up early enough, you can spot people jogging along the canal or just catch the city's background hum but up here it is peaceful in a way you do not expect.
The living and dining space is all open which honestly just works. Some apartments in Business Bay feel like you have to squeeze past the table or shuffle around a couch but that is not the case here. You can imagine kids running around or friends coming in for a weekend lunch and everyone still has space to breathe. I stood by the balcony for a bit and pictured mornings with a coffee in hand, looking right at the world's tallest tower. It would probably become routine, but I cannot see that view ever getting old. The balcony actually feels like another room almost because you get your bit of fresh air but still the privacy you want. In the evenings you might want to sit out with a friend and just watch as the sun goes down behind the canal. The world keeps moving but up here you feel kind of tucked away above it all.
What I also liked was the kitchen. Sometimes new apartments try too hard and end up feeling cold but here, it actually feels like a kitchen you would use. There is loads of counter space, so if you enjoy cooking, or even baking something simple, you are not pressed for room. It connects really naturally with the living space too. You can chat to people on the couch while you cook and not miss out on anything, which always makes hosting just a bit easier.
The master bedroom is another one of those spaces that surprises you. It is bigger than you expect and you get your own bit of terrace right outside the bedroom. I opened the door and just took in the view. On a clear morning, you see straight across downtown Dubai and sometimes you can hear birds if you open the door just enough. It is easy to picture starting your day here. The second bedroom actually gets plenty of daylight and gives you another angle of that Burj Khalifa view. Each bedroom also has its own bathroom. That seems like a small thing but trust me, anyone who has had guests to stay will know it makes a huge difference. Everything about the apartment feels like it has been thought through for actual living and not just for show.
Another thing about Marquise Square in Business Bay is that even though you are right near the heart of downtown Dubai, it never feels overwhelming. You can walk to Dubai Mall or DIFC if you want. Taxis are always close by, and the fountains are never far. Sometimes you see families walking along the canal in the evenings or people heading out for a morning run. The area has a nice coffee shop feel but never gets crowded. If you work from home, you can honestly get things done without distractions.
Views like this do not come around often. Whether you find yourself watching the reflections on the canal or just noticing how the Burj Khalifa lights change as the sun sets, you always have something special just outside your window. If you are looking for a two bedroom apartment for sale in Business Bay with a real canal view and easy access to everything downtown Dubai has to offer, this place feels like a proper home. But the only real way to know if it fits you is to see it in person. If you want to know more or just want to walk through and get a feel for it, let me know.
