La Rive, La Mer, Jumeirah
Some homes just make you stop for a second when you walk in and this two bedroom apartment in La Mer Jumeirah has exactly that effect. I remember stepping inside and just pausing by the window for a bit because the ocean views honestly steal your attention for a while. Maybe it is the calm you feel from all that blue water or the way the air feels a bit fresher so close to the marina. I do not know but there is definitely something different about this place compared to a regular Dubai apartment.
The layout here just kind of flows. You walk in and you can see straight through the living area out to the balcony and the sea beyond. The floor to ceiling windows let in so much natural light that even on a hazy day it never feels gloomy. Sometimes you will notice the sunlight shifting across the room and you get that cozy feeling people talk about. Out on the balcony you can watch the boats drift past and there is always a breeze that makes you want to open the doors and just let the air in for a while. Most days you will see a few folks jogging down on the promenade or maybe a group heading to the beach. You get that sense of life moving on quietly but comfortably.
Both bedrooms are a good size so it never feels cramped and there are built in wardrobes which actually make storing things easy you do not have to stuff everything into random corners. Each bedroom also has its own bathroom which just makes mornings go smoother especially if you are sharing or have guests. The finishes are simple and soft nothing too flashy but it is all high quality. Sometimes you almost forget you are in a building and not in someone's home that was designed for real living.
The kitchen is one of those spaces where you could actually make a meal from scratch instead of just heating up takeaway. All the appliances are already there and they work well. I liked how the kitchen feels open so if you are cooking and chatting it never feels separate from everything else going on in the living room. Evenings here are quite pretty I think. The community lights come on and if you walk down by the marina you can hear the soft hum of people eating at the cafes or just having a coffee looking out at the water.
Port De La Mer itself really feels like a tucked away spot even though you are still close to the best bits of Dubai. You can get to La Mer Beach in a few minutes or drive over to City Walk if you want a change of scene. Dubai International Airport is not far at all and you will notice how easy it is coming and going even if you travel quite a lot.
The community is honestly one of my favorite parts. There is a mix of people here. Sometimes you see kids riding bikes in the early evenings or friends catching up at one of the restaurants by the marina. You get all the benefits of beach living but it never feels crowded. The pools are actually big enough to swim laps if you like and there are green parks and a few play areas where you hear kids laughing in the afternoons. A lot of residents stop by the boutiques or grab pastries at the local cafés so it really does have that neighborhood feel rather than just another apartment block.
Living in this part of Jumeirah gives you that little bit extra I think. Every bit of La Rive is designed to make things feel easy. From the sea views to the private terraces and the direct access down to the beach. It feels both relaxing and quietly lively at the same time.
The only way to know if feels right is to come and see for yourself. If you are thinking about Jumeirah or just want to explore this space or chat about what life at La Rive is like feel free to reach out. At LuxuryProperty.com we always try to make your next move feel as comfortable as possible.
