Balqis Residence, Kingdom of Sheba, Palm Jumeirah
Some places give you that feeling before you even open the door. Walking up along the crescent of Palm Jumeirah and heading into Balqis Residences at the Kingdom of Sheba puts you in that kind of mood. You actually slow down for a second because you cannot help but stare at the view stretched out all around you. The sea is right there and honestly you are going to keep looking at it every day. You can see the Palm fronds too. Sometimes it is hard to believe this is all real and not a painting.
This two bedroom apartment is up on one of the better spots in the building. It is unfurnished so you get to bring in your own style which is actually nice because not everyone wants to live with someone else's furniture. The layout just makes sense. You come in and there is the kitchen right on your left. I stood there and tried to picture cooking real mealsโnot just heating takeout. All the appliances are neat and tucked away. If you like to bake or even just make coffee and look out at the water while waiting for toast, it all feels made for that.
The living area is right there next to the kitchen. It feels open and easy to move around in. I know some apartments say open plan and you wonder how much space you really get but here you can really stretch your legs. Oh and there is balcony access from the living room and both bedrooms. It is hard to overstate that. I stepped out and immediately the breeze got me and I just wanted to sit and watch morning come up behind the Palm. You can hear the quiet, only a bit of the city in the distance, and most of the time you might find yourself forgetting where your phone even is.
Both bedrooms come with their own bathrooms which is actually a real treat. The main bedroom feels like a little escape and there is plenty of closet space so you are not worrying about where to put your things. The second bedroom works well if you have friends staying over or even as a work space or a nursery. There is also a maid's room which gives a bit of flexibility. Maybe it is storage or an office or just a spot for your things to be out of the way.
The Kingdom of Sheba community is fairly new so everything still feels pretty fresh. There is a private pool for residents and the beach is just right there. Some mornings you might have it all to yourself. The gym has the basics covered so you can do a bit of cardio without driving anywhere. You see neighbors from around the world, honestly a nice mix of families and young professionals so it feels welcoming.
Living here, you are never far from something interesting to do. The Royal Atlantis is nearby and Wild Wadi waterpark is not far at allโperfect if you want a bit of excitement or need to entertain guests. The Palm Tower is right there too. If you like to eat out you will probably end up at West Palm Beach a lot. There is this lively stretch of bars and restaurants so even last minute plans work out. Nakheel Mall is also close by when you need to shop for pretty much anything. If lazy weekends are more your thing, Anantara Resort has spa days and massages. Honestly, having that as the backup plan is not bad at all.
Getting into and out of Palm Jumeirah is simple enough these days. Grocery shops deliver, taxis are always around, and if you want coffee and pastries, you only need to step outside. You might see kids riding bikes in the evenings. It feels homey in a way you probably wouldn't expect from something that looks this grand.
If you are curious or just want to walk through, it is always better to see these places in person. I am happy to help or answer anything you are wondering about. At LuxuryProperty.com we just want to make sure your next move feels right for you. Come take a look and see if this part of Palm Jumeirah really fits the way you live.
