Bulgari Resort & Residences, Jumeirah Bay Island, Jumeirah
Some places just feel different as soon as you step in. This two bedroom apartment at the Bulgari Resort and Residences really has that feeling. Before I even reached the main living area I caught myself pausing a little just to look out at the soft line where the gardens meet the beach and beyond that the water shimmering in the sun. It is easy to forget you are right in Jumeirah Bay Island because it almost feels like some private world carved out for just a few people. The building itself is by this Italian team Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and you will see that in the details everywhere. Clean lines but somehow not cold and with all this glass so the outside just sort of slips in around you.
Walking through the apartment nothing feels cramped. There is space to actually breathe which can be rare and you will see it in the way the open living area spills into the kitchen and on towards those big windows. Sometimes you just stand there not even saying anything for a minute and just let it sink in. You can see the Arabian Gulf and when the sky is clear, which is almost always, it is like living in a painting that changes all day.
I really think the kitchen is done for people who actually cook, not just order food or heat up something once a week. The finishes are polished but still warm and there is this sense that you can put a cup down on the counter and not worry about it. There are clever storage spots tucked everywhere and all the tech is there too but hidden away so it does not feel cold or too modern. You might not notice them until you need them.
The bedrooms feel like places you actually want to rest in. The master has this low key luxury to it, like good hotel sheets but with your own pillows. You get those green garden views in one direction and the blue of the Gulf in the other so there is always something to look at. The guest bedroom, or honestly it could be a second main if you wanted, is roomy and there is plenty of wardrobe space so you are never shuffling clothes around.
And the best thing is the outside spaces here. The gardens are properly taken care of and sometimes in the morning you see someone with coffee just wandering a little through the greenery before heading out. If you like to walk by the water there is a sandy cove waiting, and I actually saw a few families playing in the sand last time I was here. Even if you just want to sit and read or call a friend it feels easy to do that.
Now if you want to really feel part of the island lifestyle there is the Bulgari Marina and Yacht Club just a short walk away. You do not need to own a boat to enjoy it. Sometimes people from other parts of the city try to get a table there and you will see why. And because the Bulgari Resort is one of only a handful, everything has that extra step up when it comes to service and feeling looked after. For coffee or lunch it is never far and there is always something going on, but not so much that it feels crowded.
Coming in and out of the island is a breeze because of the bridge. Guests seem to like the fact that it feels private but you are not really cut off. Schools and shops and everything you need in Jumeirah are only a quick drive so living here could easily work as your main home not just a winter spot or a hideaway for holidays.
Sometimes when you walk the property at different times of day you get a different mood. Early mornings are quiet and soft. Evenings are busy in a nice way, with neighbors heading out or people having drinks on their terrace.
You will know if it is the right fit when you see it in person. If you have questions or want to take a look around, just let me know. At LuxuryProperty.com we just try to make things simple and help you feel at home, whether you are just curious or getting serious about your next move.
All the details you need about your favorite property, neatly packed into one handy file.
