Imperial Avenue, Downtown Dubai
Some homes just have a calm in them even though you are right in the middle of the city. This two bedroom apartment at Imperial Avenue in Downtown Dubai does that easily. Maybe it is the way the light comes through these big windows or just how everything feels more relaxed the second you step inside. I actually found myself pausing near the entrance just to breathe for a minute. It is funny because when you are up here you almost forget that Downtown Dubai is usually buzzing below.
You get a spot here in one of the city's most talked about new high rise buildings. The team behind it Shapoorji Pallonji really thought about how people actually live. It is not just polished gold and rich autumn colours in the lobby and in the halls although you will definitely notice those right away. Everything has a solid quality to it from the door handles to the way the tiles feel under your shoes. You see a lot of little touches that were put in for folks who are going to be here day in and day out. The kitchen is a good example. People always talk about โmodular' kitchens but sometimes that just means a kitchen you do not want to mess up. Here everything is set up like you would actually want to cook a proper meal. Plenty of workspace good storage and a layout that still leaves room to move. I can picture someone baking on a slow morning or just throwing something together after work.
What seems to grab most people is the view. There is a big private deck and it points straight out towards the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountains. You will probably find yourself spending loads of evenings out here because there is always something to watch. The best thing is when the sun sets and Dubai starts to light up. The city does make some noise but up here it just feels right never too much. I actually lost track of time just looking out one evening.
The bedrooms are done in a way that makes them really easy to live in. Nothing flashy but very soothing. I walked into the main bedroom and you might just find it easier to sleep here. Bathrooms are all en suite and have this clean modern style that makes even a rushed morning feel a bit calmer. Storage is actually thought out so you are not fighting with your clothes or living out of boxes once you move in.
Living at Imperial Avenue puts a bunch of amenities right at your door. There is a family pool great if you have kids or if friends visit and want to hang out. The rooftop infinity pool has this thing about it that makes the city feel calm even though you can see all the lights. Evenings up there usually have a couple of people just reading or relaxing and it never feels packed. Downstairs there is an AV room where someone was setting up popcorn for a film night and it looked like a good place to get lost in a movie. Outside you will find landscaped gardens that actually have real paths and little spots to sit sometimes you will see birds or just people walking away from the busy streets. If you like being active there are squash courts and a play zone for younger kids that looked genuinely fun.
And about that Downtown Dubai lifestyle. Here you can walk to Dubai Mall if you want to shop or just wander and people watch. Dubai Water Canal is close too and if you are up early you might see it at its best with only a handful of joggers out. Local coffee shops and restaurants seem to pop up all the time. The streets have this safe vibe even late and there is always something going on without it being too much. You really can step away from the energy when you want to.
If you want a real home feel with unmatched Burj Khalifa views this apartment in Imperial Avenue Downtown Dubai is worth checking out. Honestly you get what you would expect from luxury but in a relaxed version. The only way to see if it is the right move is to come visit.
