Golden Mile 10, Golden Mile, Palm Jumeirah
Some places on the Palm Jumeirah just feel like they have always been part of your story. This two bedroom apartment in Golden Mile is one of those. As soon as I stepped inside, way up on the higher floors, there was this sense of being tucked away from all the rush, but still right in the centre of everything you might want. That first moment, sunlight coming in wide across the floors, made me slow down and take it all in. It is honestly hard not to pause when you have a view that stretches right over the top of Palm Jumeirah and bits of the city shimmering in the distance.
The feeling inside is open and quite easygoing. You get a big living space where the two bedrooms are set on either side, which means you have a bit of privacy if you need it or you can just drift from one to the other when you want to. Both bedrooms felt properly sized to me, not just tight corners squeezed into the plan. Each one has its own bathroom, both with walk-in showers and a bathtub, so mornings do not feel rushed. The closets are built in, and you know sometimes apartments say that, but here you actually notice there is space to put all your shoes or stack a few baskets out of the way. There is also a maid's room just off the main area and a separate closet space, which is handy if you are someone with plenty of stuff, or you do not want everything out in the open.
The kitchen feels lived in and it is the sort of place you might actually cook more than just breakfast. The cupboards go all the way up so you are not missing storage space, and from the kitchen you can still be part of what's happening in the living area, which I always like. Someone could be making coffee or reading at the dining table while you sort out dinner, and it just works without fuss.
One of the best bits, truly, is just how connected the building is to daily Palm Jumeirah life. You are right next to Nakheel Mall, and I mean you could honestly get there without thinking about the heat or school runs or traffic. I stopped by for a coffee late in the afternoon and you see families or friends meeting up, just spilling out into the surrounding bits of Palm. If you want the beach, it is right across the road at West Palm, where you will find a row of restaurants and bars that quietly pick up with people as the sun drops. There is even a new place opening soon called The Club, which everyone is talking about lately.
Directly below, Golden Mile Galleria runs the length of the building with shops, plenty of little places to eat or grab a juice, and one of those supermarkets where you always find what you forgot to pick up elsewhere. You do not really have to think about errands here. One evening I sat down by Al Ittihad Park, which is practically on the doorstep, and I watched kids cycling past and a few people just taking it easy on benches under the palm trees. The running track winds through it, so you get some fresh air and that sweet scent from the greenery. Even if you do not run, it is nice for a stroll when the city gets quiet.
Living in Golden Mile on the trunk of the Palm pretty much means every part of Dubai is simple to reach. The roads in and out run straight from your parking and you are not stuck waiting for a shuttle or weaving through those long Palm streets just to get home. Everything you need is close, not just the mall and the park but the community itself just feels friendly.
