Burj Khalifa, Burj Khalifa Area, Downtown Dubai
Some homes almost make you pause without really meaning to. This two bedroom apartment way up in the Burj Khalifa does exactly that. It is the sort of place where the elevator opens and you need a second because you are actually that high above Downtown Dubai. You look out and it does not feel real, those city views going on forever and Dubai just stretching out under your window. I stood for a while by the glass and there were little dots of cars so far down it almost felt make believe. It really is another world up here.
The apartment itself feels thoughtful, not overdone. There is loads of natural light even at this height, somehow. Those floor to ceiling windows do all the work for you. I actually left the lights off when I walked through just because it seemed nicer that way. The open plan living space has this easy flow. You could drop bags after a day out at Dubai Mall or walk in late with friends and it just feels normal, not too precious. Sometimes these high end places can feel a little cold but this one does not. The materials are all top notch, loads of marble and wood, but it still feels like a home not a showroom. The kitchen is fully fitted and honestly feels like somewhere you might actually try making a real meal. Somebody put actual thought into it. Even if you end up ordering from the Armani Hotel downstairs more often than you like to admit.
Both bedrooms are what you would hope for. Walk in closets, bathrooms that feel like a spa but without any of the fuss. The master suite is where you feel the ‘wow' all over again. You wake up and the skyline is your backdrop. At night, you can sit by the window and watch the city turn its lights on. It is quiet in a way you might not expect in Downtown Dubai. Sometimes the only thing you hear is your own footsteps on the polished floors. There is a separate space for your helper too which just makes life that much easier whether you use it or need extra storage.
Living up here means world class amenities are never just an idea. Downstairs there is five star service that really does make life smoother. You are greeted by staff who get to know you not just your apartment number. The lobby is quiet in the mornings, maybe you catch a businessperson on their way out or a neighbor heading to the gym. As a resident you get exclusive access to that sky lounge on the one hundred twenty third floor. It is hard to describe until you go up yourself but the view is unforgettable. I met some folks up there having coffee and you could tell they come up often just for the feeling. You also get special rates at the Armani Hotel restaurants and the Burj Club. Honestly the spa is one you may want to try even if you are not usually the spa sort.
Out and about it is all right here. You are in the heart of Downtown Dubai after all. The Fountains are just a stroll away and sometimes at night you hear the music float up if you open a window. Dubai Opera is close if you want a show and the coffee shop downstairs remembers your order after a while. Weekends do not really require much planning since everything you could want is more or less around you. Evenings can be as busy or as quiet as you make them. I have seen families and professionals here and everyone settles in at their own pace.
Hard to sum it up with words honestly. Some places just work in a way that is not flashy but just feels right. The only way you will know if this Burj Khalifa apartment is your kind of home is to come see it in person. Let me know if you want to have a look or just have a chat.
