Building 20, City Walk
Some homes just have a certain way of making you slow down when you walk in. I remember stepping into this two bedroom apartment in Building 20 at City Walk and it just felt open and calm which honestly is not always what you expect right in the middle of Dubai. Maybe it is the way the sunlight filters through the windows or how you can actually hear yourself think even with the city buzzing outside. The first thing you really notice is the living room. It is not just big it is the sort of space where you can imagine spending long evenings unbothered by the world. If you stop by the window for a bit you get this real sense of being part of City Walk without feeling overwhelmed by it. And yes the view from here includes the Arena so you might even catch a little bit of excitement whenever something is happening there but from a distance that just feels nice.
Walk further in and the kitchen genuinely stands out for me. It is got that island right in the middle which always seems to turn into the spot where everyone ends up chatting or sipping coffee. The finishes are solid and there is a place for everything no need to stuff pans in awkward corners or wonder where you set the blender last time. You will probably end up actually cooking here not just reheating last night's takeout. Both bedrooms give off the kind of vibe where you could sleep in on weekends or just curl up with a good book and listen to the city wind down. En-suite bathrooms make mornings feel easier especially when you are getting ready at the same time somebody else is. There are built in wardrobes which I found surprisingly roomy they do not try to squeeze your things into tiny corners so packing away seasonal clothes was never going to be a headache.
Another thing that set this City Walk apartment apart for me is the maid's room. Sometimes that gets overlooked but here it really feels like an extra bit of privacy. The separate entrance from the main hall means whoever is living or helping out has their own space and does not have to bump into all your guests or family coming through. It just makes daily life smoother. And when you head outside the building is part of what City Walk does best. There is a pool that stays inviting pretty much year round where you can swim laps or just watch the kids play there is a nicely equipped gym that does not feel cramped and a playground that actually gets used which you can tell by the laughter from below every evening.
One of the things I liked most is how everything you need is just kind of around you here. Shops are never far maybe you just want to grab a coffee or pop into a salon for a quick haircut after work there are both options and more. If you love eating out weekends are easy because you are steps away from all those restaurants in City Walk sometimes you can even hear music or laughter drifting up in the evenings. For families the Valiant Clinic and Hospital is just a short walk away no need to worry about running across the city for medical care if you ever need it. There are nurseries and schools nearby too so if mornings are a rush you will appreciate how school runs are a little less complicated from here.
What is nice is how City Walk just feels like its own little world. Even though you are in the Jumeirah district you hardly need your car for the simple things and you will notice folks walking or biking in the evenings which is kind of rare in the city. This two bedroom apartment in Building 20 really does put you in the center of everything without making you feel rushed or crowded. The only real way to know if it feels as good to you as it does to me is to come see it for yourself. If you have questions or just want to walk through someday let me know. At LuxuryProperty dot com we are here to help you feel at home with your next move and maybe even slow down for a moment along the way.
