Some places just have a real calm about them when you first walk in and this duplex apartment at Banyan Tree Residences Hillside Dubai gave me that feeling right away. I remember opening the door and pausing a second before even stepping fully inside. There is just something about the way the natural light fills the open living space and how you can glance right across to those skyline and partial golf course views beyond the balcony. Even if you have lived in Dubai for years it is hard not to notice how peaceful it is up here. You hear faint sounds of life from Jumeirah Lake Towers below and every now and then you spot a golfer in the distance or just birds moving between the leafy spaces.
This is a true duplex not just a split level and you do get a bit of separation between your living area downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs. Downstairs feels set up for relaxed evenings or hosting a few people without stress. The kitchen is open to everything but also feels practical. It is the kind of space where I could actually see myself making breakfast and wandering out onto the balcony with a coffee. Sometimes all you want is a spot where you can just sit outdoors in the city without worrying about noise. This balcony garden offers exactly that. More than a place to just stand and stare. It is somewhere you sit awhile without rushing.
The upper level feels private. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms which is always a bonus if you have guests or family staying. Closet space is sorted too especially in the master with its walk in. Spaces just work together and you do not find yourself squeezing past furniture which is something I notice right away in apartments. There is still a sense of air between everything up here. High ceilings help a lot. It is almost three meters so you never feel boxed in.
You can see the attention to detail in the finish. The floors catch the sun just right and you even notice the quality as you touch the cabinets and handles. Real wood for warmth and smooth stone for clean corners. The units come with trusted names for appliances so you are not dealing with replacements for years. Honestly these are kitchens and bathrooms you actually want to spend time in and that is not always a given.
Plus from here you get those classic Dubai views. You look toward the towers of Emirates Hills with the golf greens showing at the edge. At night the city lights up in a different way but the space inside stays quiet and welcoming. It would suit someone who values a bit of distance from the busy side of Dubai but still wants Coffee Planet and some of the best dining and shops right down the road in Jumeirah Lake Towers. I saw a family with their dog walking across the entry gardens when I was there and you get a sense that this is the kind of place where you know your neighbours.
Banyan Tree Residences does not just stop at the building. You have a club style pool deck that makes weekend swims feel a bit like a staycation. There is a proper fitness centre so you are not waiting around for machines and a spa that actually gets booked out for treatments. Even the poolside cafe feels like somewhere you would want to get to know the staff by name. You are honestly treated well here. There is always someone on hand if you need help or anything sorted. It is managed by people who actually care and you feel that.
I love that you are somewhere a bit tucked away but only a short drive from Marina, Media City or even Downtown if you need it. The Banyan Tree address also means quality is just a bit higher everywhere you look.
