So there is this place at Avani Palm View Hotel and Suites right by Dubai Media City, and honestly you sort of feel lighter the minute you walk in. Maybe it is all the glass or just the way sunlight finds its way into every corner, but it does not feel like any old apartment. Sometimes these homes can feel like they are too clean or untouched, but here it is just easy to picture yourself actually living day to day without anything feeling forced.

This is a two bedroom and it really is one of the bigger layouts. Not everyone knows about Type 2C but when you get inside you can tell straight away. You come through the door and there is a powder room just to your right which is actually useful if you have people by for coffee or dinner. But mostly you cannot help but look up because the living area immediately opens up and stretches out in front of you. It all feels connected. The way the lounge links right into the dining area just makes sense. It has a vibe that lets you relax but you could just as easily have some friends over.

And the kitchen is not tucked away out of sight. It is off to the side but still open so you do not have to feel cut out when you are making something. The best part is it is already fitted out with everything you will need. Built in appliances, nice cabinets, good counters. Sometimes you see kitchens that feel like nobody will ever really use them but here you might actually cook a proper meal or at the very least heat up leftovers and still feel at home.

Pretty quickly you get used to the openness. There is a corridor leading deeper into the apartment and it almost invites you in. You will notice a maid's room tucked onto one side with its own washroom. Some people use it as a guest space or just extra storage. Then on the other side there is a bedroom that does not feel too closed off. It has built in cabinets and its own bathroom. You also get one of those nice little touches with both the bedroom and the living room having sliding glass doors out onto a balcony. And let me tell you the view is not something you see every day. You look over Media City, all the way to the green of the Emirates Golf Course. Sometimes you catch a bit of the city buzz below while still having your own quiet spot up here.

The other bedroom is even bigger. It has a walk in dressing area with good closet space so you do not have to stuff everything into drawers. The ensuite is a bit of a surprise. It is big with two sinks, a bathtub you will actually want to sit in and a separate shower. Everything just feels like it is meant to actually be used and enjoyed.

And you can move in right away because it is fully turnkey. The furniture is already here if you want and the appliances are ready for you to plug in your coffee machine and get on with life. The building is known for really good amenities and security too. There is a bit of a hotel feel in the best way, but you are completely in control of your space. People keep to themselves but you will see families coming and going downstairs and sometimes kids biking around the area in the evenings. There is even a nice little coffee shop not far off where you can grab your morning cup on the way to work or just meet up with a friend.

The thing about Avani Palm View is it manages to be close to the action of Dubai Media City but once you are up in the apartment you do not get all the noise. You are minutes from everywhere, JBR and Marina are just down the road, grocery runs are super easy, and the Palm is right there but it never feels hectic.
