Ashjar, Al Barari
Some homes just have a certain energy as soon as you walk in. I could feel it pretty quickly with this two bedroom apartment at Ashjar in Al Barari. There is something about the way the light hits the floors here or maybe it is that gentle quiet you get in these gardens the second you open the window. Honestly the first thing I did was just stand in the living room for a while and let it all sink in. This is not one of those apartments squeezed between ten others. There are only a few homes on this floor so you get this private tucked away vibe without being removed from everything.
You will notice right away there is so much space to move. Nothing feels tight or uncomfortable. The open plan living area is the kind of place you could actually live in for real, not just pass through. You could sit with friends or family, everyone lounging and talking or just watching something but there is still enough room for quiet corners too. The kitchen is all integrated and sleek but it does not feel intimidating at all. The kind of kitchen where it is totally fine if someone is actually cooking a proper meal and not just popping something in the microwave.
Both bedrooms in this Ashjar apartment have those big walk in closets which is one of those things you do not think about until you have it and then you do not really want to give it up. Plus, the windows in the bedrooms run all the way up so you get a full view of everything outside. Sometimes if you just sit down in the morning there you can really see the sun coming up over the greenery. The bathrooms are en suite and honestly just make mornings feel a little simpler which everyone appreciates.
The feeling of brightness in every room is thanks to those floor to ceiling windows. Even if the weather is not perfect you still feel connected to all the green outside. And out on the terrace the view changes a little throughout the day. Sometimes if you look one way you get a glimpse of the community pool and then off in the distance you even get the Dubai skyline peeking through. In the afternoons you notice it gets peaceful out there. Maybe someone with a book or a neighbor watering a plant. It does not ever feel rushed. There is something easy about being able to step outside for a coffee and just let the day slow down.
Life at Ashjar is different from most places in Dubai, honestly. There is greenery everywhere and these walking paths that run through the gardens. You can actually hear birds most mornings which is rare in the city. People tend to take their time around here. The gym is right there, never crowded, and you will see a few regulars but it never feels intimidating. Across the way there is The Farm Restaurant which you do not really need to be a foodie to enjoy. The breakfast there kind of sets you up for a good day. Seventh Heaven is close by too for a quick coffee or if you forgot something at home and need to pop out. Little things like that can make life so much easier.
Living in Al Barari is honestly just different. The community is settled in Dubailand so it is not too far from everywhere you need to be but when you are inside you feel like the rest of the city is a world away. There is a real mix of people here, young families, couples, even a few creative types you might see sketching in the gardens. Sometimes you see kids biking in the evenings or people walking their dogs and it just feels easy and real.
The only way to know if this spot feels right for you is to come see it in person. If you want to take a walk through or have questions about the place, you can reach out any time. At LuxuryProperty.com, we always try to help you find a place that really feels like home.
