2 Bedroom Apartment in 29 Burj Boulevard, Downtown Dubai

Some places just have this feeling where you walk in and sort of forget what you came in for. That is what I felt the first time I stepped into this two bedroom apartment at 29 Burj Boulevard right in the middle of Downtown Dubai. Honestly the first thing you notice is how open and light everything feels. The big windows fill the whole space up with that daytime energy and if you stand by the glass for a second you can look out over the whole city. You almost catch yourself just watching the streets and the towers and thinking about grabbing a coffee somewhere nearby just because everything is so close.

The location here is something you actually feel every day not just read about it. You are pretty much in the heart of Dubai. Dubai Mall is just around the corner and if you are like me sometimes you just want to walk in after dinner and wander. There is everything there too fashion shops that can keep you busy for an afternoon or even just the classic phone stores you always seem to need. If you want something a bit quieter Souk Al Bahar is right there as well. Sometimes in the evening you see people weaving through the little boutique cafes and it just has a laid back vibe. Really nice for catching up with a friend or just getting something sweet.

As for the apartment itself it feels modern but not in that cold kind of way. The kitchen is actually somewhere you could cook a meal instead of just heating up takeaway. Everything is already built in so you just bring your groceries and you are set. Cabinets are there for all your things so you do not have to worry about storage. The bedrooms have these wardrobes that make it simple to keep your stuff out of sight and I know it sounds small but it keeps life easy. The main bedroom even has its own bathroom and the bath is big enough for a real soak after a long workday. The details matter here. You feel it in the way the light comes in and just how quiet it can get above the city's buzz.

If you ever feel like working out or you just need to get rid of the restlessness there is a gym downstairs that has actual weights and machines not just a lonely treadmill. The pool is on the podium level and what I like is you can actually see the skyline over the edge while you swim. And of course there is a play area for kids if you have little ones or friends who do. You see a lot of families and couples here walking the grounds in the early evenings. Even if you are new to Dubai it feels easy to fit into this community.

Getting around is not a problem at all here. Everything in Downtown Dubai is set up so you can walk to the big places but still find a coffee shop or laundry service just downstairs. The security guys actually know people by name and the lobby always feels steady not busy. You will get used to all the little details like the plants in the entrance or that slight hum from the city but it is never too much.

I could talk about square feet or the floor plan but honestly it just feels more like a home than an apartment. Sometimes you come in and forget your phone for a while because you are actually enjoying the view or thinking about what to cook for dinner downstairs.
