Maeen 2, Maeen, The Lakes
Some homes just carry a certain calm as soon as you step inside. This three bedroom villa in Maeen at The Lakes gave me exactly that feeling. Maybe it is the way the morning light comes in through those big windows or how the living area just feels made for slow afternoons. I stood by the window for a bit and watched the breeze move through the garden outside and honestly, it is one of those places that makes you want to put your phone down for a second.
The living space, as you first come in, is especially open. It is to your left when you enter and there is this sense that people would actually sit together there. There is enough room to stretch out, nothing cramped or overdesigned and it spills into a real dining space that just seems ready for both weekday breakfasts and something more serious on a weekend. The big windows look out toward the garden. You will notice plenty of natural light but it is never harsh, just easy on the eyes. Out in the garden, and I really think you will like this, there is an L shape to it so you get that sense of privacy and hidden corners. I kept thinking you might find yourself growing a little herb patch here or hanging fairy lights for those winter evenings.
Right next to the living area, you get a closed kitchen. Not just a box in the corner, but a kitchen that actually feels like somewhere you would cook something you enjoy. There is a smaller dining space attached too and it looked to me like the spot for quick morning coffees or after school snacks. Down on this floor you will find a guest bathroom and a laundry room close by. Handy, especially if you have kids who love running in and out. Then you get a proper amount of storage so all those things that need a home can stay tucked out of sight. The maid's room is outside, and honestly, sometimes it is just nice to have a separate space there so everyone has a bit more privacy.
You go upstairs and bedrooms two and three are tucked away on the left. Both have built in wardrobes, which always helps keep things looking neat without trying. These two rooms share a bathroom and the way they connect feels just right for a family with younger kids or maybe even older ones who need a bit of their own space but not too far apart. On the right hand side, there is a large study. Not your usual narrow study, but someplace where you could easily set up a home office or pull out the sofa for unexpected guests. There is built in storage in here as well and what got me was the private balcony. You can imagine working with the door open to get a breeze or getting lost in a book away from the rest of the house.
Then when you step into the master suite, there is this bit of transition. You actually walk through a dressing area with a walk in closet before reaching the bedroom itself. The room is huge and feels like a space you want to slow down in. There is a little area in here too that just works as a spot for morning yoga or reading, tucked away from the main part of the room. The bathroom is what you would expect, definitely spacious and not just functional but comfortable.
Locationwise, this address in Maeen 2, The Lakes, really counts. You are right across from the pool and park. I watched families heading that way with floaties under their arms and kids laughing which set the whole tone of the place. It is only about five minutes walking to the Lakes Club, so if you are craving a bit of tennis or the café's carrot cake, it is all close by. Schools, stores, the coffee shop for your morning ritual, it all feels connected but never crowded.
It is hard to really get a sense for a property like this from words. You notice the way the community feels, the background hum of kids biking in the evening or joggers out before work. If it sounds interesting, or if you just want to see if that light feels the same to you, let me know. At LuxuryProperty.com we just want your next move to feel simple and right for you. Come see it if you are curious.
