Casa Dora, Serena
There is something about walking into this three bedroom villa in Casa Dora that makes you pause for a second. It is not flashy or trying too hard. It just feels like a real place that could work for all sorts of families. I remember pushing open the door and hearing kids playing somewhere down the street. It is the sort of noise that tells you right away this is one of those proper family communities in Serena where you can actually settle in for a while.
So this is in Casa Dora which I think is popular for a reason. The villa has a gentle sort of Mediterranean vibe outside, not too bold, just that creamy color that always looks tidy even on a lazy weekday morning. There is a real front garden that makes you imagine yourself putting out a few chairs or maybe just letting some plants go wild. It just fits.
Inside you get a proper sense of space. The living room is the first thing you see and honestly it is just a place where you can actually stretch out. I stood for a moment just looking at where you might put a comfy sofa or maybe even one of those big soft beanbags for the kids. The sunlight sort of spills through the big windows in the afternoon which I think is great if you are someone who likes to actually feel like you are living in Dubai instead of hiding from it.
The kitchen is semi open which means you can always be part of what is going on in the living room but you also have some breathing space if you do not feel like chatting until the food is ready. It feels like a kitchen you would actually cook in, maybe even bake once in a while. You will notice the separate laundry and maid's area off the side so there is always a place for life's mess without seeing it all the time.
Upstairs, I found myself leaning on the railing just peeking at the layout. The landing is open which makes this spot feel more like a second chill out area instead of just a corridor. It is easy to imagine this as a homework nook or maybe just a second area for reading when someone else wants the TV. There are three bedrooms here and it is nice because none of them feel squished.
The master spot is a bit of a treat honestly. Walk in wardrobe feels good every morning when you just want to grab something quickly. The bathroom is en suite and gives you that bit of privacy. Then you step out on the proper balcony and can see a bit of green and rooftops across the community. Evenings are peaceful here. Sometimes you hear birds or maybe see families walking after dinner.
The other two bedrooms are also comfy and share the well designed family bathroom. Not fancy but functional which is a relief when you want the rush of school mornings to run smooth. Each bedroom has a window with a view. Even if it is just watching leaves blow or the neighbor's cat wander over.
You get a plot of about three thousand square feet which is enough for a little garden for kids to play or even just to catch some sun in peace. The built up area at just over two and a half thousand feet feels right for a family who wants elbow room but does not want to feel lost in endless empty space.
Serena itself is lively but never busy in a hectic way. I have seen people carrying groceries home from the Geant supermarket that is actually inside the community so no long drives for just milk or fresh bread. Parks and tennis courts do fill up in the evenings and there is always a safe spot for the kids to ride bikes or maybe just chase each other after school. Swimming pools are around for a laid back weekend and there seems to be a real mix of neighbors from all over.
