I think it is the light first. The way it fills up the living space in this apartment just puts you at ease. Honestly, I lingered for a moment at those floor to ceiling windows, just looking out toward the sea and Atlantis and then to the Dubai Marina skyline on the other side. Actually, the kitchen is one of those that feels like you could cook for a couple of friends or just throw together something simple for yourself, and the marble details make it a little special. You can step out onto the terrace which is actually wider than most. The glass is so clear I found myself double checking if it was even there. You just get these perfect sea views from here. It is a spot where you might want to watch the sky change at sunset with a cup of coffee or even just scroll through your phone for a while and do nothing.

The bedrooms all have a soft feel. Maybe it is the light again or the way the colors are understated. There are proper wardrobes already built in so you do not really worry about storage and the bathrooms just feel quiet and easy. Not overdesigned or fussy. The main bedroom is a place you could actually use as a little retreat from the buzz of the day. Even with three bedrooms, the apartment never feels crowded or closed off. You keep the sense of space everywhere.

Serenia Residences feels private. I noticed there was no rush or noise in the corridors or by the lifts. Sometimes you see a few people heading down to the pool or going for a run. There is an infinity pool plus another lap pool so even if you like your morning swim routine, you do not have to worry about it getting busy. Kids seem to have their own spots and the gardens actually get used, people out reading or just walking. The beach is right there of course. You notice families on weekends or sometimes just a few friends having a late barbecue by the fire pit. There is even a proper tennis court and a pretty impressive glass gym. If you like to keep active, it is all right here. If you need a bit of quiet, there are hidden corners in the garden to just unwind.

You are sandwiched between the Waldorf and Anantara, so if you feel like a meal out or need a proper coffee, you do not have to go far. Actually, the Palm Jumeirah lifestyle is right at your doorstep so sometimes you might end up exploring a bit and forgetting how close you are to everything else in Dubai.

Security is always taken care of and people seem to know each other by name which is a nice touch. Parking is easy and if you need help, concierge and housekeeping actually remember you and do not make you feel like just another resident.

Living here just feels a bit different. It is modern but warm and the pace is slower. Sometimes you almost forget your phone.
