Marriott Harbour Hotel and Suites, Dubai Marina
Some places just make you take a breath the minute you step through the door. This three bedroom apartment at Marriott Dubai Harbour Hotel and Suites has that kind of feeling. It is right in the heart of Dubai Marina, but honestly it feels a bit quieter up here. The light is just right in the afternoon, gently spilling across the living room. I found myself standing by the big window looking down at the water and the boats coming and going, and you really do get that sense of Dubai moving along outside while you are tucked away in your own calm space.
The apartment itself feels easy. You walk in and you do not get that weird hotel feeling at all, even though everything is fully serviced. It is actually pretty roomy for what you usually find in the Marina. Three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom so no fighting over the shower in the morning. The master suite has its own little spot for sitting with a cup of coffee before everyone else wakes up. There are two balconies as well and I can tell you the views from up here, especially at dusk with the sea on one side and the Palm out in the distance, are something you will remember. You might even forget your phone for a minute while you just watch the world go by.
The kitchen is a proper closed kitchen, not the kind that barely fits a pan, and there are actually two ways in and out so it just works when more people are there. If you like to cook, it is possible here. If you are more a takeout person, you have access to three good restaurants right downstairs in the hotel. The Counter Culture Cafe is open for breakfast so you do not have to worry about finding your coffee before work and they do lunch and dinner as well. The Croft has a laidback vibe if you feel like a pint or something British and hearty, and The Observatory Bar and Grill does steaks and those kind of dinners you plan ahead for, all with one of the best panoramic views in Dubai. You can book a table for friends and just walk down the lift whenever you are ready.
The building is the kind that makes life smooth. There is always someone at reception if you need something and the valet is fast so you do not have to worry about parking in this part of Marina. If you are coming from the airport or headed that way, they have got a drop and pick up service which makes moving and traveling simple. And if you are into wellness, the gym is actually a real gym, not just a couple of treadmills. Sauna and steam room too. The pool is good for laps or just hanging around and you will see some people sunbathing with their books on the weekends. Sometimes evenings bring people out for a swim after work. There is a spa on site if you need it.
The apartment is serviced three times a week so you do not have to worry about cleaning or maintenance. All your bills are included, which is honestly a relief with all the little things that add up in serviced apartments in Dubai Marina. It is unfurnished so you get to make it yours and add your personality. You might see families here or singles just loving the convenience. A few times I saw kids biking outside in the Marina walk area so it feels lived in but never crowded.
Dubai Marina itself is always lively with shops and restaurants basically at your doorstep. You can walk to a coffee shop or even the beach on a cooler day. It is a good spot if you like the energy but want some space to retreat to.
Anyway the best thing to do is just come see it. The photos and words only say so much. Reach out if you want to look around or just chat about how short term rentals in Dubai Marina work these days.
