Burj Khalifa Area, Downtown Dubai
Some places are just easy to walk into and imagine your own life happening there. This three bedroom apartment at The Residence in the Burj Khalifa area of Downtown Dubai really has that feeling. I actually lost a minute or two just standing near one of the windows the first time I saw it. You get this view that just takes over. Even though you are so close to the tallest building in the world and everything buzzing around Downtown Dubai, step inside this home and things just seem to slow down. It is kind of surprising how peaceful it feels.
Location really counts for a lot and here you are right at the heart of Downtown Dubai. The Dubai Mall is basically next door which honestly spoiled me more than I expected. You can just wander over and check out the latest collections in Fashion Avenue or grab a coffee almost any time of day. Depending on what mood you are in, you could stop by Souq Al Bahar for something a little more traditional. The Dubai Opera is right there too, which makes catching a show almost an everyday thing if you want. Being able to walk everywhere is one of those things I never really appreciated until I lived here for a bit myself.
But back to the apartment. You will notice this home feels big from the moment you walk in and I mean really open. The living space just opens up and the windows let in so much daylight you almost do not need to turn on the lights until evening. The finishes are all what you would expect from Emaar. If you ever look closely at the walls and floors you can see the attention to detail. Even the fittings like the handles on the cupboards or the taps in the bathrooms have this weight to them that just feels right in your hand. The kitchen actually looks like somewhere you would want to cook more than a microwave meal and it spills neatly into the dining and sitting area so people can hang out and talk while you are busy with dinner.
There are three bedrooms and each one has a bit of its own vibe. I found the main bedroom to be the sort of place you could almost forget you own a phone. There is so little city noise up here in the evenings and if you slide open the window sometimes you hear the fountains if they are running. The other rooms could be for kids or guests or even turn one into a home office and still have another spare room. That is the thing about having this much space. You get to choose what living looks like for you and your family.
Now about the amenities. I took a swim in the rooftop infinity pool and it really is something else. You see the skyline from the water with all the lights coming on around sunset. If you are more into fitness, the gym is stacked with everything you would need, so skipping a workout gets pretty hard to justify. There are poolside cabanas where you can just relax and catch up on reading and I overheard someone saying they often work there with their laptop too. The entrance area is always buzzing but the valet sorts your car so fast, you end up feeling kind of spoiled.
What I also liked is that you are close to the excitement, but you have these little spots of quiet. Sometimes you catch a breeze on your balcony and forget you are in the middle of one of the busiest parts of Dubai. And just outside, it is never too far to find a café or see kids biking in the plaza or couples just walking around in the evening.
I guess the important thing is how it feels when you are actually there. Photos never really get it right. The only way to know for sure is to come see it for yourself. If you want to walk through or just talk about what life is like at The Residence in Burj Khalifa area, just reach out. Here at LuxuryProperty.com the goal is to make that next step feel as easy as possible.
