Anwa, Maritime City
Sometimes you walk into a place and the light just feels different. This three bedroom apartment at Anwa in Dubai Maritime City had that effect for me. I found myself pausing by the windows even before I remembered to actually look around and notice the space. You get this sense of openness right away because the living area is just massive and the ceiling actually stretches up two levels. It is not something you see every day and honestly you catch yourself gazing up for a while. There is that big balcony too. When you step outside for a few moments all you hear is the sea breeze with the city sort of glimmering in the background. On some afternoons you look out and watch ships moving across the water or sometimes a few birds drifting in the sky. I always feel like places with big windows just have a calmer energy and this one really makes you slow down before you get to anything else.
The layout just makes sense. You have three bedrooms tucked a bit further inside so if someone is relaxing in the living space or maybe having friends over for coffee the bedrooms still stay quiet. Each one of the bedrooms has its own bathroom which honestly makes a difference because everyone gets their own space. The master bedroom has this walk in dressing area and it feels a bit like a quiet corner from the rest of the world. There is also a separate maid's room with its own bathroom plus a powder room near the entrance which just makes hosting feel pretty easy. I like that small things have been thought through like the marble flooring in main spaces and those American timber doors which just have a solid feel when you push them open. If you peek into the kitchen you might notice it is actually set up for real cooking not just the flashy kind. Designed by Porcelanosa and you have Gorenje appliances so you can actually imagine making something good here. Even the home automation is from Control 4 which means you can do things like control the lighting or music with a tap without having to get up from the sofa.
The piece I keep coming back to is all that glass. Those floor to ceiling windows wrap around so you get this sweep of blue water and sky. On some days the view just stretches on and sunset time feels pretty magical. You can almost forget your phone and just stand there for a bit.
Downstairs the lifestyle actually matches the home. There is this infinity pool where sometimes you just see people floating quietly late in the afternoon. The gym overlooks the sea too so if you are into morning workouts it is kind of motivating. There is a special pool just for kids and even a little play area which has actual shade so no one gets too hot in summer. Plus there are those gardens around where you might sometimes spot neighbours heading out with a coffee or chatting quietly early in the evening. There is even a yoga room so if you are into that kind of thing it is right on site.
The area itself is interesting because it is growing but it never feels crowded. Anwa stands as the tallest place here at Dubai Maritime City and the waterfront promenade actually lets you walk or bike all the way along until you reach Mina Rashid. That means you are not far from The Dubai Mall at the Sea or even the Queen Elizabeth II which is pretty unique. Roads are easy here and the rest of Dubai is just a quick drive out. Neighbours tell me the coffee shop is never too far away which seems to be true.
This apartment is for sale and I think it works whether you are thinking of living here or just want something stable as an investment. The community is new but it is really coming into its own and you get that fresh energy without losing the sense of privacy.
The only way you will know if the space feels right for you is by coming to see it. If you want to walk through or just have a chat about what the building is like reach out when you want. We always want your next move at LuxuryPropertycom to feel as relaxed as possible.
