So you know how some places almost slow you down as soon as you step through the door? That is exactly what happened the first time I visited the studio penthouse at Palm Flower on Palm Jumeirah. I remember walking into the lobby and just pausing for a second. Sounds odd maybe, but this lobby is calmer than most hotel lobbies I have ever seen. The design just feels open and honestly makes every bit of you want to take it easy for a while before heading upstairs. There are little touches all over the place that belong more in a five star hotel than an apartment building but none of it feels fussy or showy. It just works.
These penthouses sit in a tower designed by Foster plus Partners. That name might not mean something to everyone but they are behind some of the most iconic buildings in Dubai and even around the world. You kind of feel it the whole time you are here. Every line just seems considered. I mean even standing outside watching the way the light comes through the lobby in the late afternoon I found myself thinking it has a different vibe to the usual stuff you see on Palm Jumeirah.
Now about the penthouse itself. This studio space is not your usual. The minute you step in it is obvious someone thought about how real people actually live. There is proper storage so you do not end up with piles of stuff cluttering the place. You will also notice these big glass walls that wrap around the main living area letting in so much light you do not need to turn on lamps until well into the evening. The views are something else. You see both the Palm and the wide open sea and it kind of reminds you every morning where you are.
I spent a bit of time just leaning against the window watching the city wake up in the distance. Sometimes you see the little boats heading out or catch the sunrise if you are an early riser. That is one of those lifestyle parts about living here. The outside kind of comes in and you do not feel boxed up.
The kitchen here is properly done if you actually want to cook. You could easily make breakfast or just reheat something but it does not feel like a show kitchen for photographs. This is a place you could actually have a friend over and cook together without tripping over each other. The open plan has a flow that just makes sense. Nothing forced.
One of the coolest things is the private terrace with its swimming pool. Imagine sitting out there as the sun drops in the evening maybe with a coffee or a cold drink watching the skyline. Sometimes you will hear faraway music wafting up from the beach clubs or even catch sight of kids biking along the Crescent in the evening. It is a peaceful kind of busy not a noisy one.
There is a private gym here in the penthouse so you really can skip the commute if you are into keeping fit. You have your own cinema room too. I have seen quite a few so called cinema rooms but this one is actually comfortable enough for a full movie night and there is enough space for a bunch of friends.
Everything here is designed for a smooth day to day experience. Downstairs in the basement you get dedicated parking and honestly the parking area itself is worth seeing. It is almost a showroom feeling with its glass walls wrapping around an event space. Picture it hosting an event down here that your friends will remember.
Location is hard to beat. You are right on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah so Nakheel Mall is just up the road. The Pointe is nearby if you feel like a waterfront meal. Even getting into the city is easy. You do not feel like you live far from anything but the noise and hassle feels miles away.
Truth is you only really know if a place has the right feel when you see it in person. I can answer any questions or just show you around if you want. At LuxuryProperty dot com there is no rush with us and we try to make finding your home a comfortable thing. Just reach out if you are curious.
