The Opus, Business Bay
Some places just have a calm to them the minute you walk through the door. It is like for a while the buzz of Downtown Dubai and Business Bay is behind glass and you have got some peace just to yourself. This studio apartment in The Opus by Omniyat in Business Bay really does that. You will notice it right away. I still remember standing in the lobby and catching myself just looking up at the lights because they feel like they are floating right over your head. It is not like anywhere else around here. The Opus is one of those buildings people tend to stop and point at from the street and once you are inside you really get why.
The creative feel in this Dubai studio apartment is honestly something you do not see often. That comes from Dame Zaha Hadid who designed the building from outside to inside. You can see her touch everywhere. There are these gentle curves in the walls and angles that just do not look like a regular apartment block. Even though it is a studio it does not feel cramped or boxed in at all. There is loads of space for a studio layout. I think it has to do with the open plan design and huge floor to ceiling windows that bring in so much daylight. You hardly need any lamps when the sun is up and the light just fills the whole place right through. Sometimes I just drift over to the glass because you get these pretty wide views over Business Bay and if you are lucky a glimpse of the canal or the water. Morning time just feels special if you like to start your day in a quiet way watching the city slowly wake up. Every time I am here I end up lingering at the window even a few extra minutes.
The look and feel in the space is all clean and modern but not cold. Think soft creams and gentle greys not harsh lines. Even the custom tables and sofas feel like they belong and you can just chill out with a coffee and a lazy Sunday book. And the best part is this was all picked out or chosen by Zaha Hadid herself. There is this cool designer pedigree but it still feels like somewhere you would actually want to live for real and not just something for show. You could honestly close the door behind you on a Friday evening and happily not step out till Sunday night and it would not feel stuffy. There is even a real kitchen not just a kitchenette. You could chop up your own ingredients for a salad or flip an omelette in your pajamas and never feel out of place. Some apartments try too hard with fashionable interiors but here it just works.
What makes life simple in The Opus is the full set of hotel style services. ME by Melia takes care of almost anything you can think of. From the moment you move in you have a concierge pretty much any hour you might need one. If you want to have fresh towels or cleaning done or laundry picked up it is about as easy as sending a quick message. Come home late and the place just feels sorted and tidy. Even if you invite friends for a quick dinner everything is handled quietly in the background. The only thing left for you is to relax and enjoy. Sometimes you almost forget to check your phone and that is rare these days.
And if you feel like stepping out the amenities here sort of create their own community feeling. There is a temperature controlled pool so you can swim all year with no surprises. The gym is not just for show it is actually useful so it is easy to fit in a quick workout before work. On site spa is perfect for unwinding after a long week. There are a couple of restaurants just an elevator ride away so you do not always need to drive into Downtown or Dubai Mall for a meal. If you are working from home or just need a spot to meet a client there is a smart little business centre. It feels like everything is thought out.
Location wise this is hard to beat. The Opus is right in the heart of Business Bay with Dubai Canal on one side and the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall in the other direction. Walks by the canal are actually peaceful in the evenings and sometimes you see people jogging or families and even the odd cyclist or dog. Being this close to the Opera District means you can just go to a show on impulse and not have to plan weeks ahead. Plus having all the best restaurants and coffee shops close by just makes daily life that bit easier.
You can read about apartments in Dubai all you want but this place has a real atmosphere you only get by visiting for yourself. If you are curious or just want to chat about what life in The Opus really feels like send a message or call any time. We like to keep things relaxed at LuxuryProperty dot com so the next step feels easy. You will know if this studio is right when you come see it.
