The Neighbourhood, Al Barari
Some places just give you a bit of a pause when you arrive. The Neighbourhood at Al Barari is one of those spots. I wandered through one of the studio apartments here and, honestly, it did not feel like the usual compact space. There is something about these low buildings, surrounded by garden after garden, that pulls your mind away from the regular city rush. You walk in and notice that the air feels slightly different, maybe cleaner or softer, because of all the greenery around. There is always some kind of birdsong and sometimes even the sound of leaves if you step out onto the balcony. It is easy to picture yourself lingering with coffee in the morning before you get on with your day.
This studio apartment is right in the heart of Al Barari and that means peace and quiet but you are still close to everything. Dubai's city center really is only a drive away when you need it but once you are back here it is almost like its own little retreat. The studio itself is laid out to make the most of the space. There is nothing cramped about it. Natural light just pours through the windows and the view is not just another building. You get to look out over one of the most green spots in the city. Cooking in this kitchen feels genuine too. It does not have that never been used look. I could actually imagine putting some music on and making a meal here for myself or a friend.
One of the best things about The Neighbourhood is the thoughtful touches you will not find just anywhere. For example, there are a handful of guest rooms on the top floor. If you have family or friends coming through Dubai for a while, you can actually give them a bit of space of their own. They are not sleeping in your living area and you do not have to fuss to rearrange. It just makes things easier.
The overall design has this nice blend of fresh and relaxed. The team at Anarchitect did something pretty clever by using natural materials everywhere. The wood and the stone details almost seem to match what you see outside through the glass. You will notice the finishes actually feel solid, not just pretty. And sitting in the living area with the windows open, it sometimes feels like you are in a much bigger space than a studio.
The Neighbourhood is part of what makes Al Barari so well known in Dubai for healthy and easy living. On the weekend, you might find yourself wandering to The Farm for breakfast. I have walked that way myself just for the fresh juice and it never gets old. If you like a bit of wellness with your weekend, you can always try a yoga class at the Body Language Health Club or book a session at the Heart and Soul Spa. There is a sense of community here too. In the evenings, you sometimes see small groups set up for a picnic in the park areas. And The Wellness Zone feels like the kind of clubhouse where people really come together, maybe for a movie night or just to relax after work.
Actually, getting essentials is a breeze too. The open air retail space The Well is pretty close so you do not have to drive far for the basics or a good cup of coffee. Even on quieter days, people are out jogging or just sitting in the shade with a book. The roads are close enough for easy drives but not so close that you ever hear much traffic. Honestly, it is hard not to slow down when you are here.
If you are curious, just come and take a look. The only real way to know if this studio is your next place is to walk around and get a feel for it yourself. I am always here for any questions or if you feel like taking a tour. At LuxuryProperty.com, the idea is to keep things simple for you every step of the way.
