Marsa Plaza, Dubai Festival City
Sometimes you walk into a place and it just feels like you are stepping into the start of your own story. That is the thing with this studio apartment in Marsa Plaza at Dubai Festival City. I remember standing in the lobby for a moment and all the sounds seemed far away. Something about this building makes you want to take a breath and just slow down. It is not just another tower. Marsa Plaza really is a landmark if you notice the way it curls along the Creek. And there is this peaceful steady feeling to the place. Honestly you will know what I mean when you get here.
The apartment is a studio but it does not feel cramped. There is a gentle flow to the space that is hard to find in most studios. I think it is because of the way the windows let in the light. Sometimes in the late afternoon the whole place glows a little and you can see bits of the Dubai skyline and the soft green from the gardens below. You will find yourself standing by the window just watching the boats go by on Dubai Creek. It is easy to forget your phone for a minute or two. There is enough room that you do not get that boxed in feeling at all. The kitchen is tucked just right so if you like actually cooking a real meal instead of just throwing something in the microwave you will probably appreciate it. Plenty of cupboard space too which matters a lot in a studio. And the finish is modern but does not shout at you. Just simple and clean lines.
Waking up here is something different. Even if you are not much of a morning person the light in the morning just makes you want to open the blinds and stretch a bit. The bathroom feels fresh and it is not one of those tiny showers that make you twist just to get in and out. There is a bit of breathing room. Even getting ready for work or to head out feels more relaxed.
Right downstairs you have all the things you would honestly expect from luxury apartments in Dubai Festival City but somehow it does not feel over the top. The gym is bigger than most and almost never crowded. Sometimes people chat a bit after classes and it feels more like a small club than a big building. There is an outdoor pool that almost always has someone reading or just listening to music beside it when the weather is good. Green gardens wrap around so it does not feel like you are in the middle of a city. At times if you listen you can hear birds and not just cars.
Marsa Plaza is managed by Intercontinental so the little things are always looked after. Corridors always smell fresh. The maintenance team is polite and actually attentive which in Dubai can be hit or miss sometimes.
And then you step outside and you are at Dubai Festival City. The Festival Promenade is just there and you see families strolling in the evenings or sometimes kids riding bikes. There are so many options for shopping and food. Some people in the building go to the same coffee shop every morning so after a while the barista learns your order. Over three hundred stores and that range of restaurants. You really cannot say you have nothing to do on weekends. There is also Al Areesh Club nearby if you ever fancy a game of squash or a swim.
If you like Creekside living in Dubai this spot just feels grounded and comfortable. Sometimes it is nice to have all the buzz and still go upstairs to your own quiet place. Everyone finds their own rhythm in this part of town.
Anyway the only way to know if this studio feels right for you is to come and see it in person. If you want to set up a tour or just have a chat about what makes Marsa Plaza special let me know. At LuxuryProperty.com we are always here to make moving to a new place a little easier and more comfortable.
