The World Islands
Some homes make you stop for a second before you even notice you did. That always seems to happen to me when I visit Zuha Island. This six bedroom villa sits right in the heart of The World Islands. You absolutely get that feeling of stepping away from the city. I have to say, sometimes it is hard to even believe Dubai's only a short boat ride from here. The first time I came, the air felt different. Just standing at the entrance, you get a little sense of privacy you cannot quite find on the mainland.
Walking in, you enter this airy lobby with the ceiling higher than you'd expect. The spiral staircase is really something. I found myself reaching out just to touch the railing on my way up. The glass lift is my favourite though. When you step in, suddenly you can see so much of the sea all at once, sky brushing the water, and the whole villa kind of wraps itself around those views. You end up slowing down and just looking for a minute.
This villa is spread across five full floors, which surprised me at first because from outside it just blends into the shape of the island, all soft curves and white stone. The design really does feel inspired by the sea, honestly. Some villas say they are beachfront, but here, you just step out your back door and you are on your very own stretch of sand. The landscaping is thick enough to give you that tucked away, no one watching feeling, even if neighbours are out too.
The living room is that kind of space where families fill the sofas and you do not worry about someone spilling something by mistake. The dining area sits just beside it, close enough for big gatherings but not too formal. The kitchen is not only for show. You sometimes walk into these big villas and think, ‘no one actually cooks here,' but this one's different. You can imagine a real dinner happening, kids running for snacks, laughter echoing. There is a simple powder room nearby, perfect for guests who come by after a swim.
Step outside for a second. The backyard has this three level pool right at the centre. The water feature flows so quietly along the side that even on a hot day, it cools everything down. There's a deck for sunbathing, and more than enough space if you want to throw a barbecue or just enjoy a long lunch outside. Sometimes, late in the day, you catch the sunlight going gold across the private beach. You can see the city in the distance but it feels a whole world away.
Going upstairs, the bedrooms all have their own little corners, big windows that bring the sea in. Each bedroom comes with its own bathroom. One thing I really noticed is how much closet space there is, actual walk-in wardrobes big enough for even the most enthusiastic shopper. There is a family room up here too, with a terrace made for watching sunsets, and a side deck that seems to pull you closer to the water's edge.
The master suite is something else. You have a sitting room just for quiet mornings or reading, and dressing rooms for both him and her. The ensuite is huge, with thoughtful touches everywhere. The master terrace and another deck both push right out toward the sea so the morning view comes straight into the bedroom.
Go a bit further up to the roof and you will find my favourite spot. There is a lounge with a view in every direction, an infinity pool that almost melts into the horizon. You might just spend hours up here whenever the weather is good. There is another kitchen and enough space for friends to gather for a lazy evening meal.
The basement keeps all the busy parts of life out of sight, with staff quarters and a big laundry set up so the main home stays calm and easy. If you have kids or guests, everyone gets their own space and you never feel crowded.
You probably want to see it for yourself. The feeling on Zuha Island is different from anywhere else in Dubai. If you are curious or want to spend a quiet hour walking through, feel free to ask. The only way to know if it feels right is to try it out. At LuxuryProperty.com, we want your next move to feel just as natural as finding your favourite spot on the beach.
All the details you need about your favorite property, neatly packed into one handy file.
