Damac Hills
Some homes really do take you by surprise the second you walk in. This six bedroom villa at Gems Estates in Damac Hills is one of those places where you almost stop at the door and have to let everything in for a second. I stood near the edge of the living room and just kind of watched how the light moved across the floors. Even without anyone living in it yet, this place feels like it already has stories to tell.
They say Gems Estates is all about bold design and yes you notice it right away. It is not just another project. Cavalli and Di Grisogono had their hands on this one and you can tell from the little details, like the patterns in the stone work and those hidden lighting spots in the ceilings. It makes every corner feel a bit special. You get both a roof and a basement level too which is actually quite rare in luxury villas here in Damac Hills.
The ground floor is wide and open. Sometimes these big homes feel a bit formal but honestly this one just flows. The double sized living area is the sort of space where you could have friends over and nobody is fighting for a seat. Off to one side you find the formal dining room. On another you get a cosy area that feels perfect for quick breakfasts or lazy afternoon coffee. And the kitchen honestly catches your attention. There is a proper presentation kitchen with a breakfast counter but then you also get a real service kitchen tucked away where you could mess up a bit and nobody would notice. There is even a home office which feels like the right spot for those days you just need quiet for an hour or two.
Slide those big glass doors open and you step straight out to a kind of outdoor lounge. The garden area is set up to look over the infinity pool. I noticed how the water just blends with the sky on clear days and you kind of forget you are in the middle of Dubai. The pool deck is spacious and just beyond that you get a garden lounge where you could imagine sitting out with tea while the sun goes down.
Head upstairs and you realise every detail just continues to make sense. The family room is in the centre so everyone naturally drifts here. Four bedrooms spill off around it. Two of them have their own private terraces where you can step out and just listen to the city wake up. There is a secondary master bedroom that goes further with a walk in closet of the sort that actually makes you want to hang your clothes up. There is also a nanny's room with its own bathroom which you do not find everywhere.
The rooftop is kind of on another level altogether. You get a massive master suite up here with a bathroom so big it feels like a mini spa. Separate his and her setups and a dressing room that could almost be a flat by itself. Open the doors and the private terrace shows off a plunge pool — I stood there and all you could hear was the breeze. There is a separate terrace that is just made for evenings with friends. It even has its own bar and a pantry so nobody has to run up and down for snacks. There is a rooftop garden you can reach right from the bedroom. It is almost too easy to unwind.
Now the basement is where things really go above the usual. A real home cinema with enough room that you could almost run a film festival. A proper gym with space for every type of workout and next to that, a wellness area with both steam and sauna rooms plus an indoor pool for those rare cool winter mornings. Kids or guests will definitely find the games lounge. There is a patio garden where a bit of daylight breaks through and an area set up as a cigar lounge if you are into that. Even the staff have their own quarters here and you will notice the five car garage has more than enough space so you are not squeezing in each time.
You look out over the golf course and honestly it is easy to see why people love Damac Hills. That clubhouse is always lively. You see neighbours taking walks or kids playing on the wide lawns. The parks and sports arenas mean there is always something happening but the villa itself never feels crowded.
If you want to find out if this is your next home or you just want to get a feel for it in person, let me know. I always think you need to walk through to know. We are here whenever you like at LuxuryProperty.com and really our job is just to help you feel at home wherever you choose.
