Casa Chianti, Florence
Some places just have a way of slowing you down as soon as you step in. This six bedroom villa at Casa Chianti in the heart of Florence really does that for me. The air out here in the Tuscan countryside feels different and maybe it is the old stone walls or the garden that wraps around the house or just the way the cypress trees stand along the arches. Honestly sometimes you might find yourself just sitting under the pergola and looking out at the Chianti hills for no real reason other than it feels good to just pause. This home is right where you want to be if you have ever dreamed about Tuscany with its blue skies and soft rolling greens all around you oh and those birds you hear in the distance sometimes.
The villa itself is one of those rare homes where you keep noticing small details that make you smile. You feel the old brick under your feet and the edges of the archways are gently worn in a way that makes everything more inviting. Walk through the garden in the evening and you will probably hear the gentle buzzing of cicadas and maybe catch the scent of roses. Inside there are so many classic Tuscan features like the wooden beams above you and fireplaces that give the rooms a real glow in the evenings. You get both the main house and a guest house so there is plenty of space to welcome friends or family. And yet it never feels too big somehow. I actually wandered out to the garden early one morning and just watched the sun sweep light over the stone walls and everything seemed to slow down.
There are places to sit outside everywhere you look. Sometimes you find a shady spot under the wisteria or you just settle down at the edge of the patio as the sun goes down. Most evenings here you would want to be outside with good food and people you enjoy. You can see how this home was made for gatherings but also for quiet moments with just a book or coffee.
Inside the living spaces feel simple and easy. The kitchen is something you actually want to use not just show off to visitors. There is a big stove that makes you want to cook real meals not just heat something up. It opens into a dining room where you can imagine family dinners or lazy lunches that go on for hours. And when you open the doors you can step straight out onto a patio with those endless Tuscany views. Sometimes it is the kind of place where you almost forget to check your phone and just want to sit quietly for a while.
Bedrooms in the main villa are a bit special since they all feel different in their own ways. There are four in the main house and most have air conditioning and ceiling fans which makes those warm summer days a lot easier. The rooms have little touches like old painted doors or windows that look right over the olive trees. Three of the bedrooms have private bathrooms and there is another bathroom down the hall. There are two more studio apartments attached to the main villa and each one is self contained. They are perfect if you want to host guests or just need a quiet spot for yourself maybe for work or a hobby.
The guest house set in the garden is lovely too and spread over two floors. Upstairs there is a small gym and a studio with a bathroom. I spent a few minutes under the covered pergola there with a coffee and looked right over the valley. Downstairs there is another bedroom and bathroom with its own private paved lounge space in the garden which is almost hidden away.
Outdoors is the soul of this property. The two tiered gardens gently step down to a swimming pool set among cypress and olive trees. On some days the water catches the light and you would not want to be anywhere else. Nights here are silent except for some evening birds and maybe a gentle breeze. The local lifestyle is just easy. Local markets are close by and Florence is just a short drive if you ever want some city energy. Plus the coffee shops in the village are never far and every trip out feels like part of the Tuscan dream.
The truth is you can only really feel it by being here. If you want to talk it over or take a walk through together reach out any time. At LuxuryProperty.com we always try to make your next move feel as welcoming as possible.
