Calla Mastella, Santa Eulalia Del Rio
Some places just have a way of slowing you down. Walking up the quiet, tree lined road in Santa Eulalia Del Rio, right near Cala Mastella Beach, this six bedroom villa really does that. I have seen a lot of Spanish estates but this one stands out because there is nothing showy at all. You notice the soft colors straight away and the sun baked roof tiles feel like they belong here. Sometimes you catch yourself just listening to the little blue tiled rill in the courtyard, with the fountain running and the breeze in the pine and palm trees. Birds singing and an easy hush in the mornings are kind of the soundtrack most days.
Inside, it just feels open. This villa is clever in how the main house is set out over four sections, all linked but each with its own space, so you never feel boxed in. Cool terracotta floors make it comfortable to walk barefoot and sometimes you notice your feet slow down on purpose. Some of the walls are set off with hand painted tiles, colorful but not loud, and the kitchen isn't that formal style some big homes have. Here it feels like somewhere you will actually want to cook a real meal. The oak cupboards remind me of a place where you build up small family traditions over time. The open plan living and dining room never feels empty even though it is big. Light pours in and you see straight through patio doors to that blue sea. One morning I found myself just standing there, watching sunlight curling over the waves. It never gets old and I mean it.
Upstairs is where you find the best waking up view in the house. The master suite has big windows from floor to ceiling and when you step out onto the terrace, the Balearic Sea is right there. Getting a coffee in the sun before your day even begins, maybe it becomes a habit. Some mornings I left my phone behind just to watch the sky keep changing colors. The bathroom in the master suite is simple on purpose with green mosaic tiles and white fixtures, no big statement just nice and quiet. And you do get storage, but it never feels like a hotel.
The villa keeps on giving with three more suites. Reina and Buddha are both made for giving guests or family privacy. The Buddha suite in particular is calm, the kind of space you would want to nap in on a Sunday afternoon with golden light coming through. Downstairs the Ramses suite has its own little kitchen and living space which is actually perfect for family who want some independence or maybe teenagers who need their own territory.
Outside is where the real magic opens up. The infinity pool kind of spills out towards the sea and you feel like you are floating above it. I have spent afternoons on the stone pool deck that turn into evening before you know it. A Jacuzzi is tucked to the side if you want a little more quiet or time just for yourself. There is this classic Spanish arcade with hand built archesโmakes you want to stretch lunch into dinner while the sky fades to pink. Out here you will also find a stone pizza oven that works properly not just for decoration. Once, I heard local music drifting over on the wind while some kids biked by the entrance. Most of the time though it is just laughter or quiet voices, nothing else.
The two bedroom guesthouse feels like a proper home rather than an afterthought. Both rooms have their own bathroom and there is room to chill, so guests settle in easily. Even the staff rooms feel homely, with their own kitchen and space so the property always feels cared for.
Honestly, this place gives what you hope for when you think of a classic Spanish villa with real space and sea views everywhere you look. The plot is bigger than most in the area and you are only steps from Cala Mastella Beach if you want a swim or just the sand under your feet. Coffee in Santa Eulalia is never far away if you want it. Privacy is everywhere here but you never feel cut off.
There is no way to truly know the vibe until you stop by, see the sea from the terrace, and feel the pace slow down a bit. If you have any questions, or you want to walk through this villa at Cala Mastella in Santa Eulalia Del Rio, I am always around at LuxuryProperty.com. We just want to help your move feel right.
