Balqis Residences, Kingdom of Sheba, Palm Jumeirah
There are days in Dubai when life just feels bigger and slower as soon as you step into a certain home. This seven bedroom villa in Kingdom of Sheba on the crescent of Palm Jumeirah really has that effect. I walked in expecting to do the usual rounds but honestly I just stood in the entryway for a minute trying to decide where my eyes should go first. There is a calm here that hits you right away. It must be the way the garden and private beach seem to wrap gently around the villa. You get these glimpses of blue water from almost any window and sometimes you even catch the sound of birds early in the morning if you pause by the glass doors.
It is a huge place really. The built up area is over twelve thousand square feet which is a lot of space to fill but somehow, it all fits together in this natural easy way. Seven proper bedrooms mean everyone can spread out a bit even if you have a big family or are hosting people for the weekend. The bedrooms actually feel lived in too not just hotel style. You can imagine leaving slippers by the bed or putting a book down on the nightstand and forgetting about it.
I have seen plenty of grand villas with all the bells and whistles but few have a finished basement you could really use. Here it feels like it could be a proper movie night zone or somewhere you just store all the extra bikes and beach gear that seem to collect as years go by. The three car garage is tucked away so no one sees all the busy bits. If you drive a lot or have visitors and friends over sometimes that's a small thing that actually matters.
The main living spaces just flow. There's always this bit of sunlight sneaking through which gives it a nice warmth. The kitchen does not feel like it is just for show. I could easily imagine Sunday breakfasts or late night snacks happening here. You can open doors straight out to the garden and you get that mix of sea air and green grass.
And the best thing is this private pool out in the back. I noticed you can just wander from the sitting room straight into the garden. It is one of those pools where you would actually swim not just dip your toes. Sometimes you see the sun just sparkling on the water and honestly you forget you are right in the middle of Palm Jumeirah. The garden is well kept but not fussy. It feels like you could let the kids or the dog run wild and not worry all the time.
Upstairs you will find this amazing roof terrace. The owners set up a hot tub and a little seating section. I can picture sunsets or lazy evenings up there with the city lights off in the distance. If you have friends over for dinner it is sort of irresistible to wander up there at the end of the night just to see the view.
Living here you get exclusive access to a private beach. I watched for a while and honestly most people seemed barefoot and relaxed with kids running around in the sand as if the sea belonged just to them. You also have the shops and cafes on the Crescent a few minutes away if you feel like a coffee or want to pick up fresh bread. There is a small community vibe in Kingdom of Sheba that is a bit rare for Palm Jumeirah. People wave. Sometimes there is a random football game on the sand at the end of the day.
All in all if you are looking for a beautiful seven bedroom villa in Palm Jumeirah that does not feel too formal this one is well worth seeing. The only way to know if it has that right feeling is to come and walk through. I am happy to answer any questions or just meet you for a look around.
