2 bedroom penthouse in BLVD Heights

Some places just have that pause moment when you walk through the door. I know it happened to me the first time I visited this two bedroom penthouse in BLVD Heights, in the middle of Downtown Dubai. You sort of slow down without even thinking about it. Maybe it is the sunlight flooding in from every direction or how the city just opens up right outside your window here. I caught myself just looking out, seeing the whole sweep of Dubai below and thinking, wow, there is nothing like this anywhere else.

So let me tell you a bit about the space because honestly it really does feel special. It sits higher up, part of the Sky Collection. You get this full feeling of being in the city but somehow above it at the same time. The penthouse itself is spread out over a pretty generous layout. When I say open plan, I mean you can walk from the kitchen right into the living room with nothing stopping you and not once does it feel cramped. Even with furniture missing, you can get a sense of how you might use the space. I actually stood for a bit on the terrace one morning and you can hear just a bit of hum from downtown but nothing too much. Mostly, it is the silence and the view that gets you. One side catches the full Burj Khalifa skyline, the other side you can see the blue line of the sea out in the distance. I think anyone who enjoys a coffee outside in the mornings or just likes the sky changing all day will probably love it here.

The kitchen is one of those places where you could actually see yourself cooking something, not just heating a takeaway. You have these really nice marble countertops and clean lines everywhere. If you are into baking or anything at all that needs a bit of space, this setup just makes it feel easy. It comes unfurnished by the way, so you can make it look like you want. Sometimes that is exactly what you need when you are looking for a home rather than a hotel.

Bedrooms here feel more like their own private retreats. The light is softer there somehow plus when you close the door you really do not hear anything from the rest of the apartment, much less the city below. The windows all frame a view out over Downtown Dubai, so you wake up and you kind of have to remind yourself where you are. There are two bathrooms and both of them are done in the same marble as the rest of the penthouse. You will also notice there is a lot of storage tucked away. For anyone who lives busy and does city life but still wants their place feeling peaceful, it just works.

You get a couple of balconies too. They are not just for show. Sometimes in the evening you see the lights come on all over Dubai and if you have friends over, it is the kind of place where everyone drifts outside to talk.

Being in BLVD Heights means you have access to a fitness center that is actually big and never feels crowded plus a really nice swimming pool that catches the sun most of the day. Security is around always but they are friendly and you can just come and go without feeling watched. Step outside the lobby and you are basically on the Boulevard. The Dubai Mall is a walk away, or if you just want coffee there are about six places within eyesight. Sometimes you see families out late or runners in the morning. Life just happens all around but inside your apartment it is your own world.

It is one thing to read about these things and another to actually stand there and look out over the city for yourself.
