Upper House West, Upper House, Jumeirah Lake Towers
Some places just hit you a bit differently the first time you walk through the door. This one bedroom apartment at Upper House West in Jumeirah Lake Towers is exactly like that. I have to admit when I walked in I actually stopped and listened for the city noise. It was just so quiet up here. You can kind of feel that the space is new and well planned out. And something about these big windows makes you want to just take your shoes off and sit down with a coffee for a second before anything else.
This is an apartment where you notice the details in the everyday things. The flooring just looks neat and even when the light comes in, it almost sparkles. There's smart home tech here if you like that sort of thing, which, honestly, makes stuff a bit easier. Lighting and temperature just work how you want them to. Maybe you do not think about this every day, but you feel it when you get home late and just want things to be simple.
What I like about the kitchen is that it feels like someone actually thought about cooking in it. It is not just for show. There's space for all the basics. Enough room to chop, move around, and have a friend lean on the counter and chat while you put something together. The living area just opens right out next to it and you get a bit of that view while you are having dinner or watching something or maybe even having friends over for cards. The windows in this apartment are a real talking point if you ask me. Some mornings you just want to stand by them looking out over JLT with your coffee before the day gets hectic. And at night, you can see the city glow, but it feels far enough away that you are in your own easy little spot.
Bedroom wise, it is comfortable. Sometimes I feel that smaller places can feel a bit cramped, but this one just does not. The way it is laid out makes it feel like there is room for your stuff and even some to tuck away extra things you do not want visitors to see. The bathroom, too, feels new and tidy. Water pressure is good and there is space for your shampoos and whatnot. No guessing where things go. Everything just fits.
You also get a sense of community here at Upper House West. In Jumeirah Lake Towers it is quite friendly. You see people out with kids or just taking an evening walk around the lakes. I have seen a few people with their dogs too and sometimes there are little gatherings at the coffee shop downstairs. Groceries and everything you need are never far. Getting around is easy. Metro is nearby and you can get to most parts of Dubai without stress. Even work commutes seem a little lighter here.
There are plenty of amenities in the building. A good pool, clean gym, and spots to unwind. If you want to just chill on a Saturday, you do not really need to head anywhere. Everything is on hand here. It is the sort of place that fits if you work in the city but want to come home and just slow the pace a little. I like that even the noise from Sheikh Zayed Road somehow fades away by the time you get to your floor.
If you are looking for a one bedroom apartment that has just enough of everything you actually need, with a bit of that easy JLT lifestyle, I think you will like this one. It feels welcoming and just easy to settle into. The only way to tell if it suits, though, is to come by and see it for yourself.
