The Sloane, Jumeirah Village Circle
Some places just sort of calm you down the moment you walk in. This one bedroom apartment at The Sloane in Jumeirah Village Circle had that effect on me. I think it is about the light and how the space opens up when you first step inside. I wandered over to the terrace and actually just stood there for a while watching the way the community moves. There is a feeling of quiet even though you are in a place where people do say hello and wave from their balconies. Sometimes you even see a few kids riding around on their bikes down below.
You walk in and right away there is an American style kitchen facing the dining and living area. It is fitted out properly so yes you can really cook here and not just heat up your takeaway. The kitchen island would probably become the place for your morning coffee and maybe a bit of late night snacking if you are anything like me. The appliances are all European brands and built in with plenty of storage in the contemporary cabinets. I actually ran my hand over the countertops and they feel solid with this premium quartz finish that is supposed to last a long time. Even the sink and fittings are all from international brands which is one of those small touches you might miss if you are not paying attention.
The whole place has these higher ceilings than you usually see in apartments which makes it feel a little bigger and less boxed in. The flooring is porcelain but done to look like hardwood so it feels warm. If you care about sound it has a heavy entry door with good acoustic ratings which you notice as soon as you close it the rest of the world gets a bit quieter. Everything is set up for high speed internet too so working from home feels easy.
What I appreciated most is the way the bedroom opens right onto the terrace too. You can wake up and actually step out for a bit of fresh air before you even check your phone. The bedroom is full of soft daylight with this big corner closet that honestly should be big enough for most people even if you are a bit of a collector. The ensuite bathroom keeps that same high standard lots of good light and walk in shower with nice fixtures. Sometimes it is the little things like stepping onto the tiles barefoot and not getting that cold shock.
There is a guest powder room so visitors do not have to pass through your bedroom which I always think is a plus. Laundry is tucked right next door so everything is practical nothing feels out of place.
Being part of The Sloane means you get some really nice amenities within a minute or two from your door and you do not have to leave the building for most things. Downstairs you have a big lobby where it always feels friendly even if you just wave at reception on your way out. The ground floor is where you find some small shops and a café plus a clubhouse lounge where people sometimes actually chill out with books or their laptops. There is bike parking if that is your thing. Head to the first podium level and you find not just one but two pools a leisure pool and a lap pool both with lots of sun loungers. It has a barbeque spot where you can actually imagine using it with friends and an indoor gym that felt like it had all the basics covered when I peaked in. There is even a pet area on the rooftop which is more rare than you think around here plus they have added an actual pet washing spot which would make life so much easier for dog owners.
The whole building is designed for a sense of calm not like one of those busy towers and honestly you sort of feel it the first time you visit. Jumeirah Village Circle itself is pretty popular for people who like somewhere that has coffee shops never too far and where you get a real community vibe. This apartment will be ready to move in soon so you will not have to wait too long if it matches what you are looking for.
The only way to know if it feels right is to come see it for yourself. If you have any questions or even just want to chat about life in Jumeirah Village Circle send me a message or call anytime.
