The Palm Tower, Palm Jumeirah
Some places just have a way of making you breathe out and slow down. This one bedroom apartment in The Palm Tower does exactly that. You take the elevator up and as soon as the doors open you get that feeling you're really somewhere special on Palm Jumeirah. Honestly you can see why so many people end up spending most of their free time right here on the island. The air feels a little bit lighter and the sunlight kind of hangs in the room in a way you do not really find elsewhere in Dubai.
People talk about the Palm Jumeirah all the time but until you live here you do not realise how the whole place just makes life feel simple. You wake up and you can decide if you want an early walk along Palm West Beach or maybe just breakfast out on your balcony. Personally I would probably grab a coffee downstairs first thing because the coffee shop is never far no matter what part of the tower you are in. Sometimes you hear the buzz of the lobby cafes even before you have taken your first sip.
Inside the apartment things feel open and honestly surprisingly calming. Furnished so you can just move in and not have to overthink it. Light colours make the most of the big windows and sometimes in the afternoon the whole space almost glows. It is the sort of place where you will want to leave your shoes by the door and maybe wander around in socks with music playing. The living area is not huge but it is welcoming and you can actually see yourself settling into the sofa with a book or just watching the city lights over the water in the evening. Bedrooms here are never cold or impersonal it is easy to imagine yourself falling asleep with the curtains half open so you wake up to that golden morning sun bouncing off the Gulf.
Kitchens in so many Dubai apartments look a bit more show than real but this one actually feels like you could cook a proper meal. There is enough cupboard space to keep things tidy and the countertop is generous for prepping dinner or just lining up snacks when friends visit. And if you are not in the mood to cook there are a dozen restaurant options actually within the Palm Tower itself. Sushisamba is a go to when you want something special but honestly even the casual spots are good for grabbing a bite or a late coffee with a friend. If you want to get out for dinner you only have to walk to some of the best restaurants in Dubai just around the corner places like Nobu at Atlantis or Maiden Shanghai at Five Palm. You kind of forget how easy it is to go out somewhere really nice when you live here.
One of the quieter perks of a home in The Palm Tower is direct access to the St. Regis Hotel's beach club. That is where residents get the sort of exclusive beach days that most people would usually only get on holiday. Some mornings you might walk over with a towel and just spend a few hours by the sea thinking about nothing or sometimes you will see families and couples just letting the day drift by. Even if you have company the beach never feels crowded.
Life is easy too when it comes to shopping. You just pop down to Nakheel Mall. Spinneys and Waitrose are right there for groceries. Every now and then I find myself browsing Marks and Spencer for fresh bread or heading over to Fabyland if a friend's kids are visiting and need to burn off some energy. The cinema inside Nakheel Mall has an IMAX so movie nights are pretty much sorted whenever you want. Everywhere seems connected and the errands you might dread just do not take long here.
Palm Jumeirah is one of those communities where sometimes you forget you are in the middle of a global city. People say hello in the lifts and in the evenings you see families out for walks or cycling as the sun sets. You will probably settle into a rhythm without even noticing it.
The only way to know if it feels right for you is to come see The Palm Tower in person. If you have questions about this one bedroom apartment or you would just like a relaxed walk through reach out any time. At LuxuryProperty.com our aim is to make your next move on Palm Jumeirah feel as comfortable as possible.
