The Palm Tower, Palm Jumeirah
Some places just make you pause as soon as you walk in. This one bedroom apartment in The Palm Tower might look like a typical city pad in the photos but honestly it feels like more once you are standing in it. Palm Jumeirah always has its own buzz and being right here, up above the city and surrounded by some of the best Dubai has to offer, somehow you get all that energy but it still feels private. I spent a few moments leaning against the living room window and you really can catch the beach in the distance if you glance a certain way and sometimes you see the sunlight just pour over the water early in the day.
The apartment is fully furnished so you do not need to stress over finding all the bits and pieces to make it feel like home. Someone has already picked out plush sofas and there is a neatly tucked away kitchen that does not feel intimidating. More like the kind of place you would actually want to make breakfast in even if it is just toast and good coffee before heading down to the St Regis beach club. Residents here get access to one of the top private stretches of sand on Palm Jumeirah and honestly it is easy to see why people stay all day. Sometimes you will hear people laughing by the pool or kids running back and forth while their parents just relax for hours.
The Palm Tower itself is sort of a landmark in Dubai. You have everything from fine dining at SUSHISAMBA right inside the building sometimes you will see people dress up for dinner on their way through the lobby and on any day you can grab something casual if you are just looking for a quick bite at Nakheel Mall. It is probably less than a minute to the mall from your apartment. The cinema there is great for a spontaneous evening and Waitrose really does have everything you forget to buy. Not to mention if you feel like exploring a bit more you are honestly not far from all sorts of restaurants whether you want Gordon Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen or maybe you decide on Italian at Torno Subito or even try STAY by Yannick Alleno at another hotel nearby.
Nights here have their own rhythm. On some evenings you can hear music in the distance from the Penthouse at Five Palm or if it is more your thing there are always some new events at Atlantis or even Wavehouse. Palm Jumeirah is always lively but you can come back to your apartment and it is just quiet. The thick curtains actually block out most of the city and hotel noise so you can actually sleep in if you want.
Being inside the space you notice the details have been put together with people in mind and not just for show. There are touches of wood and glass everywhere that make things feel light the lighting has this warm glow especially in the evenings and when you open the doors to the balcony it is just nice to step outside for a breath of air. Even if you do not go out much the direct connection to Nakheel Mall feels very handy and down by the main entrance there is always someone to help with parcels or anything you need sorted.
The St Regis brand always has this calm about it and that shows up in the way the community feels. It is easy to meet your neighbors in the lifts or at the pool and the concierge never makes anything feel like a big deal whether you need a taxi or have to ask a small question about the building. If you work remotely or travel a lot this part of Palm Jumeirah is kind of unbeatable. In the mornings there are always people down at the coffee shops or you might catch a few early swimmers at the beach.
This apartment really is about making life as easy as possible but with a bit of style. The location is something you grow to appreciate more the longer you stay. To be honest the best way to decide if it fits is just to come and see how it feels. If you want to walk through or ask anything just let me know.
