Some places just feel fresh as soon as you walk in. That is honestly what came to mind with this one bedroom apartment at Rehan in Aljada. You come up through this neat little entryway and as soon as you're inside the apartment there is this soft light everywhere. It sort of bounces off the modern flooring and you notice how open it all feels. The first time I visited I actually stood by the window for a while. There is something about those full height windows. Even when the afternoon sun is strong you still get these gentle views over the community. Now and then you can catch bits of greenery or see people moving around in the plaza below. To me it really does not feel like the typical Sharjah apartment block. Rehan has its own style.
The whole layout is just easy. Not too much wasted space and everything flows. The living room is bigger than you would expect for a one bedroom place. If you like rearranging your furniture or hosting friends every now and then you have a bit of flexibility. The kitchen actually feels like somewhere you might want to cook. No cramped corners or awkward angles. There are proper fitted cupboards and room for proper appliances. I would probably end up making coffee there in the mornings while looking out the window. It just suits that kind of routine.
You will also notice little things like how quiet it is inside even though the Aljada community is quite lively outside. The bedroom is comfortable with enough built in storage and still has space left over for a desk or a reading chair if you want it. Sometimes these layouts squeeze everything in but this one just feels less rushed. The bathroom is done up in light tiling and has that new fresh feeling. It is definitely not oversized but it is well put together. Hot water always runs easily and the fixtures do not feel cheap.
One thing I really liked about Rehan is how the building itself is set up. The entrance lobby is always clean and friendly even in the evenings. There is a sense people keep an eye out for one another. Maybe because it is not a gigantic tower but three separate low rise buildings. People actually nod and say hello if you see them in the elevator. At ground level you are right at the start of one of Aljada's main streets. Step outside and you are just a short walk from the Central Hub. Some weekends you hear live music there or kids racing around the fountains. You will definitely find a coffee shop nearby and sometimes that is the only excuse you need to go down for a stroll.
There are a lot of handy things on site too. I have seen the gym and it is not packed during the day. The pool area looks like a good place for a break after work. Green spaces kind of thread through the community. You get that city vibe but every now and then you spot a tree or someone walking their dog.
If you are looking for something brand new in Sharjah but still want to be part of an active place then honestly Rehan just feels right. People moving into Aljada seem pretty happy. It is getting its own kind of buzz with food pop ups and little markets now and then. Even though you are well connected to main roads and Sharjah city center it honestly feels quiet once you are back at the apartment.
I can run you through the details if you want to know more about this one bedroom at Rehan Aljada but in the end you really do need to see it for yourself.
