Act One | Act Two Towers, Opera District, Downtown Dubai
Some homes just make you slow down and take it all in. This one bedroom apartment at Act One Act Two in Downtown Dubai is a good example. I remember walking in here with the afternoon sun pouring through those floor to ceiling windows and thinking everything just feels a little lighter. Maybe it is the way the towers stand tall in the Opera District or just that hush you sometimes get way up here above the city.
The first thing you will probably notice is how open it feels. The living area is simple and not overdone, just what you need for relaxing and having people over. The kitchen is open too and honestly feels like somewhere you would actually cook more than you would just heat something up. I have seen a lot of show kitchens but this one feels lived in without even being lived in yet if that makes sense. The finishes are good quality as well, sort of understated. Everything is modern and clean without that cold showroom feeling, which I think just works better if you actually want to hang out at home.
If you are a morning person, you are going to love how much light comes in. I stood by the balcony doors for five minutes watching the city and all you get is that view of new Dubai stretching out in front of you. You get bits of the skyline and the burj in the distance. Even if you do not sit out there every day, it is just nice knowing you have your own patch of sky.
The bedroom is just the right size. There is a built in closet with enough storage for two people living without too much clutter and the bathroom has a deep soaking tub which I imagine would feel pretty great after a long day or just on a lazy Friday morning. The little details stand out too. You feel the care that went into the design even down to how the doors close quietly or the way the air con does not make a big fuss. Some people might care more about that stuff than others but it is worth mentioning.
Out in the building, it is a real community. There is a gym and a health club on site so if you are one of those people who likes to get a workout in before heading to work or after a long day, you do not have to go far. Plus, every time I have come through here, I have seen people headed down with towels or gym bags, so it is clearly a place where people genuinely use the facilities not just look at them. The lobby has this calm feeling to it and the staff are the kind who actually smile when you walk in. Little things but they matter.
And the location. You really do not get more central than this in Downtown Dubai. The Dubai Mall is close enough that you almost forget you live in a place people actually come to see as tourists. The Burj Khalifa is basically your neighbor. Sometimes you hear music from Dubai Opera if you open the windows at night. If you like coffee, honestly you could try a different place every week and not run out for ages. Shops and restaurants are everywhere but it never feels too cramped. Sometimes you see people heading out on scooters or kids biking by in the evening. For all the high rise living, it still feels like a neighborhood.
If you are looking for a place that feels like real home in the Opera District with the bonus of Downtown right at your feet, this one is worth a look. Do not worry too much about the numbers or square footage right away. Sometimes it is just about how a place feels and this apartment just feels easy.
The only way to know if it feels right for you though is to come and see it for yourself. If you want to have a chat, walk through, or just ask something small, I am always around. At LuxuryProperty.com, we try to make your next move feel as comfortable as possible.
