Tower B, Damac Bay, Dubai Harbour
Some apartments just settle your mind the moment you walk in and I felt that straight away inside this one bedroom place at Damac Bay in Dubai Harbour. Maybe it is just the calm up here or how you get this constant sweep of open water all the way to the horizon. Living here really does feel like you have almost stepped out of the city almost but then you look out and you can still spot the little boats drifting by or sunset painting the sea gold. If you ask me that is the kind of thing you do not ever get used to. Every day is just a little different.
When I first got here late morning it was quiet except for some faint marina sounds and I actually stopped by the window for a while just taking in that full sea view. No buildings blocking it at all. Honestly it is the sort of view you would expect in those vacation places you find on Instagram. You can watch ships come and go but you do not hear any noise from them at all. The air just moves gently through the apartment and you realize you have left your phone lying on the kitchen counter and did not even notice.
The inside really has an open feel that is hard to find in one bedroom apartments around Dubai Harbour. You have eight hundred sixty one square feet here but it just feels a lot more than that. The kitchen stands right with the living area and you never feel stuck while cooking or chatting. I always look at kitchens and wonder if someone would actually use them for real meals and here I can see it easily. Good counter space plus places for your ingredients so you are not always putting things in and out of cupboards every five minutes. The light hits the dining area in a nice way in the afternoon and if you like a bit of sun while you have lunch or a coffee you are going to appreciate that.
Heading into the bedroom you will notice how it just keeps that peaceful feeling going. Built in cupboards make it all pretty neat and tidy so you are not tripping over anything or having to squeeze around furniture. One of the little surprises is you can still see the water from the bed so if you are an early riser you might just start waking up earlier without meaning to. The morning light comes in soft. Some days you can watch seagulls wheeling around and honestly sometimes you'll forget there is a city behind you at all.
A few things make this apartment stand out and not just the view. It is priced below original purchase so you are getting a rare opportunity on the Dubai Harbour waterfront. That is not something we see often these days. You get all the things that make life feel a bit like you are on an endless resort break. Infinity pools with water that seems to drop off right into the sea. Wellness areas and a private beach club setup that really does make every weekend feel special even if you have just stayed home and relaxed. If you like to stay active in the mornings you can take a walk along the promenade pretty much as soon as you head outside.
The location works well if you need to get around. You have Marina Mall just a short drive away where you can find pretty much anything from groceries to a good cup of coffee or a movie. Bluewaters is nearby if you are meeting friends or want a change of scene. Whenever you need to get into the city Sheikh Zayed Road is close but when you come back here it feels far away from any noise.
Day to day it is the little things that add up. You might grab a morning coffee and walk down to the water just because it is all right there. In the evenings there are couples or families out walking and sometimes you see a few kids riding their bikes along the marina edge. At night the place just goes quiet again except for the water. It just feels easy.
If something in this home speaks to you the best way to know if it really feels right is to come have a look for yourself. Ask me anything or just let us walk you through the apartment when you are ready. At LuxuryProperty.com we try to help you find a move that just feels like the next step not another transaction.
