Burj Khalifa, Burj Khalifa Area, Downtown Dubai
Some homes just have that quiet wow when you walk in for the first time. I got that when I stepped into this one bedroom apartment pretty high up in the Burj Khalifa. Maybe it is just the way you can see everything spread out below you. Or maybe it has more to do with how peaceful it actually feels up here. Even though you are absolutely in Downtown Dubai with all the bustle below, it just hits different once the elevator doors open and it is just you, the space, and those views.
This place feels welcoming right from the start. The wood finishes in the living room have this easy warmth where it does not feel formal at all. There is a window that goes from the floor all the way to the ceiling so you are able to see the whole city skyline when the sun hits, and honestly it is a view you will get used to but never tired of. Late afternoon is nice because you get these crazy colors and a little glow bouncing off the sea in the distance. I stood there a long time just letting my coffee cool off. It really invites you to slow down, which is honestly something I do not always get from places in Downtown Dubai.
The kitchen here is done up in all these soft tones and light colors and what I really noticed is, it actually feels like a kitchen you would want to use. The Miele appliances are already there, tucked in and ready for whatever meal or snack you are planning. It feels natural to imagine actually living in and not just passing through. You might find yourself cooking more, honestly, even if you did not plan on it. But food is never a problem here. The cafes are downstairs and you are surrounded by options. Even if you want to just grab a croissant or a takeaway dinner, everything is easy to find and you never have to go far.
Bedrooms in one bedroom apartments can sometimes feel like an afterthought but this one is genuinely comfortable without being too much. The way the light comes in late in the day makes it soft and cozy. You would like the storage too. Someone actually thought about where your things would go rather than just sticking in a few cupboards and calling it a day. The bathroom is surprisingly generous. Plus, everything is finished the way you would want at the Burj Khalifa. No shortcuts when it comes to the fittings. The little details just add up and you notice them more the longer you stand in the space.
Of course, what really makes living in the Burj Khalifa different is not just the apartment itself. You get so many resident amenities. There are swimming pools scattered around in a way that lets you pick if you want people around or you just want to be quiet. The gym is always in good shape and not too crowded most days. And the best thing is probably the sky lounge up high on the one hundred twenty third floor because that is a view you only get from one building in Dubai. Sometimes you almost forget your phone entirely and just lean on the glass and watch the city lights come up. There is even discounted access to the Armani Hotel and Burj Club when you want a change of scene or have friends over and want to show off a little.
Downtown Dubai is always alive but up here it just feels easy. There are days when you can watch boats far out on the water and the traffic below does not really matter. And you are right next to the Dubai Mall and the Opera House if that is your thing. But honestly this is an apartment to come home to. I always think you need to feel a place to know if it is right. Come see it for yourself if you are curious or just want to look around and decide. Let me know anytime if you have questions. At LuxuryProperty.com, we try to make moving feel as good as living.
