Belgravia, Jumeirah Village Circle
Some homes just have a certain feel as soon as you step inside. This one bedroom apartment in Belgravia at Jumeirah Village Circle really does that. I found myself slowing down and just looking around for a moment, taking it all in. You know how some apartments can feel either too formal or maybe a bit bland Well here it feels balanced. Comfortable enough that you actually want to hang out at home but with little touches that remind you it is something special. Nothing about it is fussy yet it still feels modern and welcoming. When I walked in that first time I ended up lingering by the windows a while because the floor to ceiling glass fills the whole place with soft natural light. Honestly it makes a big difference you forget you are in a one bedroom apartment because the light just makes everything feel open and bigger. If you head out to the wooden balcony you will immediately notice there is real green space and not just city views with endless traffic. That is rare in Dubai especially in the newer areas.
Belgravia in Jumeirah Village Circle is the kind of place people talk about when they say a community has its own charm. Sometimes you see kids biking in the early evening or neighbors walking with their dogs coffee cups in hand and it feels surprisingly laid back considering you are only a few minutes away from everything. The main roads are close you are only a quick drive from Mall of the Emirates and a bunch of good restaurants but when you get back to Belgravia things get quieter. It feels almost hidden away. I think that is one of its best features.
Walking further in you get this sense that the space is used really well. The built up area is about 1266 square feet so actually larger than most one bedroom places you will find in Jumeirah Village Circle. The open kitchen and living area blend together in a way that does not feel boxy or cramped. I stood in the kitchen for a bit and even turned on the oven the space really feels ready for you to actually cook a decent meal not just heat up takeaway. With pale wood finishes and soft grey touches against white walls the vibe is clean but not cold. There is easily room for an actual dining table so you are not just eating on your lap. The living area then spills right out to the balcony which honestly I can see being used all the time. I found myself standing out there listening to sounds from the courtyard which is not just for decoration but is actually used by families and neighbors just sitting out or reading a book. The mornings would probably be especially nice for a cup of coffee as the sun comes up.
The amenities here in Belgravia also surprised me a little. Sometimes these buildings market a lot and do not really deliver but it is different here. The gym caught my eye first bright and more spacious than you would expect and the equipment is actually kept up which is not always the case in other buildings. The swimming pool is in a spot that helps it stay cool even on hot Dubai days so it is not just for show. There is an indoor play area for kids which you will notice gets actual use after school. In the evenings I saw a few folks jogging or taking walks on the paths that wind through Belgravia into the wider Jumeirah Village Circle community. It feels safe and lived in not just a block of flats.
Living in Jumeirah Village Circle means you are never far from what makes Dubai popular but you still get a bit of peace and quiet when you want it. Some people keep Belgravia as their main home and others use it as a kind of second base while working in the city. It just works for different lifestyles. If you are looking for a modern apartment in Dubai that does not feel cold or crowded I really think you should see this.
