Frangipani Beach Pavilions, Havannah Harbour
It feels a little like discovering a bit of the world you did not think you could own. You drive out from Port Vila past all the pops of tropical green that seem brighter here than anywhere else and suddenly Havannah Harbour just sort of opens itself up to you. The water never really sits still here. It comes and goes gentle even near the shore and on some mornings you can see little silver fish flick near the surface. When I stood right on the edge of this waterfront land in Frangipani Beach Pavilions it just hit meโthere is nothing between you and the view except a few palms and the light, salty breeze.
This is not just any plot. We are talking about over three thousand five hundred square meters to play with. That gives you a pretty rare sort of peace to start dreaming properly big. The first thing you will probably notice is how level and open the land feels. You do not have to squint and imagine where a villa might go or try to see past any old buildings because there are not any. It is just you and the sky and the water ahead. If you turn around the other way you get a sweep of green running back towards the road. Sometimes you hear birds calling out across the trees. It is strange how quiet it is. Even with the odd fishing boat in the distance you end up talking in softer tones without realising.
There are ideas for this place. Plans were drawn up a while ago for a proper boutique resort right here. I have looked at the sketches and the notes for nineteen two bedroom villas and these lovely little overwater bures that just sort of hover above the lagoon. Imagine walking out along a wooden path to your own little hideaway built out across the clear water. There was even talk of a boardwalk bistro with fresh fish coming right off the boats every day and a restaurant you could use for weddings or sundown dinners with everyone gathered around. Honestly it makes you hungry just thinking about it. There is also space for a lap pool where you could cut through the water after work or just float and watch the sunset slip between the palms. If yoga is your thing there was space marked for that too. Or swap it up. Build one big private home that feels like a sanctuary or keep it simple. The land is ready for any of it.
You will want to know about access. This plot is about eighteen minutes drive from the international airport and that makes life a lot easier whether you are visiting for the weekend or have a team coming in to look at development ideas. Flights reach Vanuatu direct from Australia New Zealand Hong Kong Singapore and the US. Local roads are easy and you can stock up in Port Vila or just get most things brought in. One thingโwatch for local markets. Pick up fruit and fresh fish then bring them back to grill on your own patch of coast. Some days you see kids playing barefoot along the little lanes or people getting together on the beach for family lunches and honestly it just feels easy. Nowhere is fancy but everything is warm and real. No one is in a hurry.
I keep thinking this land suits someone who wants to do something personal. Maybe that is building a proper retreat for the family or letting friends visit from every part of the globe or just starting work on the resort plans already laid out. Honestly it could be any of those. Prices for land like this have not always been where they are now but this spot is listed way under where it probably should be so it is the right time to have a look if you are interested in Havannah Harbour or anywhere in Vanuatu.
The only real way to get the feel for it is to stand here and just look around for a bit. If you want to walk the shoreline or just talk through your ideas I am always happy to help.
