Balqis Residences, Kingdom of Sheba, Palm Jumeirah
Some homes on Palm Jumeirah almost make you pause at the door. This four bedroom villa tucked into the Kingdom of Sheba really does that. You walk through the entrance and right away the light floods in from those floor to ceiling windows. I caught myself just standing in the open reception area, looking out at the water and thinking this is one of those spots where the view actually lives up to the photos. Living here puts you on Palm Jumeirah's crescent which is always a nice touch if you love a bit of privacy but still want to be never far from the action at The Pointe or Nakheel Mall.
One of the things that really stands out is the garden. Seriously, you have these green lawns wrapping around the villa and the pool just sits there quietly in the middle of it all. It is big enough to actually swim laps if you want or just float with a drink on a Friday afternoon. Sometimes you spot a bird or two making their way around the garden or you hear the faint sound of waves from across the crescent. Honestly, it is the sort of garden where you could host family barbecue days or just curl up with a book and forget what time it is. There are shaded areas too if you are not feeling the sun and your eyes will probably land on one of the sea views that never gets old.
When you step inside, it's kind of hard not to notice how open it feels. The reception space is designed so people can move and chat without bumping into each other. If your family or friends gather for dinner, it just feels easy. You will also notice the kitchen does not feel like one of those overdone show kitchens you sometimes see. It is actually practical. I could imagine a proper breakfast here with everything you need close by and enough space to spread out on busy mornings.
Heading upstairs, three bedrooms take up the first floor. Every one has its own sense of peace, and you wake up with natural light streaming in. Each suite comes with balcony access, so no one is missing out on a bit of morning sea breeze. It would be kind of nice to step outside first thing with a coffee, just listening to how calm everything is on this part of Palm Jumeirah. Then you have the master up top which almost feels like its own apartment. It has so much room, plus its own large terrace, and the views stretch out way past the Palm coastline. It is really something you need to experience first hand. The photos only give you half the feeling.
Down in the basement, there is extra space for storage or you could turn part of it into a wine cellar or a mini gym. That is totally up to you. The garage holds two cars, which is handy for easy in and out. You will notice that this villa never feels too formal. It is easy to picture filling the place with people, or just settling in on your own and having space to breathe. This part of the Kingdom of Sheba remains a bit quieter than some of the livelier areas on Palm Jumeirah, so you get the best of both – access to all the café and beach clubs, but with a real sense of privacy at home.
Schools are close enough for morning drop offs without stress, and you have quick links into Dubai Marina if you feel like a day out. But really, most days you might just want to stay in, with uninterrupted full sea views and the kind of sunset you'll probably end up taking too many photos of.
The only way to know if this villa feels right is to come see it. If you have any questions or want someone to walk you through, just reach out whenever. At LuxuryProperty.com, we do our best to make sure moving home feels as comfortable as settling in with a good cup of coffee.
