4 bedroom penthouse in The Address Residences Dubai Opera, Downtown Dubai

Some homes you walk into and just stop for a second. That happened to me right here. It might sound simple but when you step out of the lift and into this penthouse in The Address Residences Dubai Opera Tower 2, it actually feels private and city high all at once. You get almost the whole floor to yourself. You can stretch your arms out and barely touch anything. It is 6966 square feet but honestly that number does not tell you how big the place really feels. It is wide open and everything breathes.

There are four bedrooms here, and each one really has its own character. Every suite gets lots of sun sneaking in through the full-length windows and the views never get old. The Burj Khalifa sort of just sits there, right outside. You can see the water from the Fountains, hear a bit if you listen close with the windows cracked open. There is a walk-in wardrobe for every room so you do not have to share storage or argue who gets the bigger closet. The bathrooms are private to each bedroom and all done up neatly. I think you will probably spend a lot of time on the terrace though, especially as the day goes on and the sky changes over Downtown Dubai. When the sun starts dipping behind the skyline and everything glows, the place really comes alive. Sometimes you have to remind yourself to put your phone away and just enjoy the view.

The kitchen in here actually feels like somewhere you could cook something real. It is unfurnished now which means you have so much freedom to do your own thing. All the appliances are tucked away and spotless. There is enough space for a breakfast table or you might just want to stand at the counter with coffee first thing in the morning watching the city wake up. You have two living rooms not that you need them but one feels a little formal and the other is just good for slouching around and having friends over. The dining area is ready for a big family dinner or just something quiet after a long day. There are also easy to miss details like the study which is tucked out of the way so you can actually get some work done without being pulled back by the noise of everything else.

This place comes with a maid's room so if you have extra help or just need a bit of storage it is covered. The building is set in the Opera District which if you do not know is pretty much the spot for all things culture in Downtown Dubai. You are practically neighbors with Dubai Opera and you are really close to Dubai Mall. I've noticed some mornings you can catch a breeze on the street, maybe spot someone heading into the cafe on the corner. The gym is bigger than most and rarely crowded. There is a space for kids to play as well. Residents' lounges have that plush hotel feel and you never wait long for the lifts. There are a lot of people who stay here because of the round-the-clock concierge and smart security.

This penthouse is fresh and recently done up a bit so you will be the first to really put your own stamp on it. Since it is vacant now, moving in is easy. One more thing, you actually feel the heart of the city right here but once you are up in this penthouse it is surprisingly quiet. The world is just sort of humming underneath but you are above it until you want to step back down.
