There is something different about stepping out of the elevator on the twenty eighth floor at The 118 in Downtown Dubai. I remember pausing for a second before going in. Maybe it is the quiet at that height or the way the city just sort of spreads out around you through all those huge windows. This is a four bedroom apartment that covers the whole floor so no shared walls and honestly you will notice how private it feels right away. That is probably my favorite spot in the apartment, where you can let your shoulders drop and just sit with a coffee in the morning or look out at the skyline when everything lights up at night. The bathrooms also do the job properly, all fittings from Kohler and it just adds to the sense that things were picked to last and feel good to use every single day.

Sometimes in these tall buildings you can feel a bit disconnected. Here it is different. The 118 has just twenty eight residences in total so you are part of a small group instead of one in a crowd. The amenities are something people talk about a lot for a reason. You have a full wellness center right downstairs with its own spa and spaces to work out or just switch off for an hour. Event decks and all that rooftop space makes things feel open. There is a pool up there that might be the best spot in the area if you like to swim with a view. Valet and concierge are standard here so everyday errands or just trying to get out the door with no hassle is a given. Sometimes I see people heading out to the Dubai Mall or just going for a walk because really everything you need is close by. If you want a quick coffee there are places you can walk to in a few minutes.

This apartment at The 118 Downtown puts you right in the center of Dubai and still gives you a peaceful place to come home to at the end of the day.
