Carmen, Victory Heights, Dubai Sports City
There really are homes you walk into and have to pause for a bit before you even say anything. This five bedroom villa in Victory Heights made me do exactly that. I actually set my phone down by the kitchen and just took a slow turn through the entrance living area. Maybe it is the feel of the marble underfoot or maybe it is the sunlight coming straight in over the golf course. You just do not see this kind of presence every day here in Dubai Sports City. The fact that the house sits on such a big plot, right up above everything, makes it feel even more private.
Right away you can tell this villa is a one off. It is nothing like the usual Victory Heights houses. At some point, the owner pretty much started over and made every inch their own. They have gone all in. I do not just mean furniture. I am talking about Versace and Fendi pieces standing out in the rooms. Belgian glass that runs floor to ceiling so you get those tricky golden hour light moments bouncing round the place. Porcelain that is exactly the same shape and shade running inside and outside. When I ran my hand over it, out on the terrace, it even felt like they picked it for the Dubai weather.
The number of details here is kind of wild. I tried almost all the switches and saw they had these dimmer lights from Siemens. You flick them and the mood softens right down for the evenings. In fact, every single air conditioning compressor has been moved so when you walk from the living room to the kitchen or one of the wings, you barely even hear a hum. The whole house seems to want you to slow down.
Bedrooms here are not just rooms to put your head down. You have got four areas upstairs plus a really special guest suite downstairs. The master is huge. Honestly, the walk in closet is one of the biggest I have seen and there is a shoe cabinet that could swallow anyone's entire collection. Floor to ceiling views out onto the Ernie Els Fairways. Some mornings you will want to just sit on the end of the bed and watch how the sunlight runs across the green. There is an actual Jacuzzi for two, rain shower, this extra big shower room, and one of the little touches I loved, a smoking room that is kind of quirky but would work just as well as a reading nook or quiet coffee corner. You can imagine lazy weekend mornings with the curtains drifting open by themselves.
Bathrooms have been completely pulled out and built new. They are full marble and granite, shelves tucked into the walls, and really beautiful Jaguar fixtures. There is a kind of five star hotel feel, but more personal. You will spot almost ten TVs around, by the way, for those who like to keep the game on in every room.
And if you actually enjoy cooking, not just microwaving, you will be in the right place. There are five German made kitchens scattered around, with the show kitchen a particular favorite of mine. Smalvic appliances mean you can properly cook for a big family or friends. The flow continues between family spaces and even the kitchens, which makes those big dinners feel easy. The show kitchen links to a big wet kitchen through a clever airtight door, so the smells and sounds never invade your guests.
Stepping outside, the backyard is more like its own little retreat. There is a huge pool house, gym kit ready to go, a place you can flop down after a workout and just watch the pool through those tall windows. The pool itself is proper. There is a chiller, heating, a big Jacuzzi, even setups so you can watch TV from the yard or barbecue area. I can picture kids splashing, a couple of neighbors dropping by for football on TV, or just a late coffee by the water.
Sometimes you walk through a villa and sense the care that went into every choice. That is this place. There is no way to know if it is the right home for you until you see it for yourself. If you want a closer look or just a chat about Victory Heights, feel free to get in touch any time. The team at LuxuryProperty.com always tries to keep things easy and open for you.
