The Turf, Damac Hills
Some homes make you slow down as soon as you unclip your shoes at the door. This five bedroom villa at The Turf in Damac Hills does exactly that. The light streams in and you can actually hear the quiet from the golf course. I found myself just leaning into the living room, glancing out at the rolling greens and the distant sounds of someone teeing off. The living and dining area feels open but not cold at all. There is space for everyone but you never feel like it is too big to be home. Sometimes you see families setting a long table or just stretching on the big sofa and reading after lunch.
If you like to cook for real, or just enjoy having coffee in the morning without all the fuss, the kitchen really makes sense. It is fitted and open in a way that you have room to move around but still feel close to what is happening nearby. I watched the light hit the counter a certain way and you just get the feeling this is somewhere you could make pancakes with the kids or put together dinner while chatting with friends.
Downstairs you have a guest room that has its own bathroom. So whenever relatives visit or friends need to stay over it just feels natural. There is also a maid's room which is handy if you have help or maybe even just use it for storage. They have tucked away a laundry space too, so laundry day does not take over your life. Pretty practical.
Outside there is a spot for the driver, which is thoughtful if you have someone who helps you get around, and then all the way around the villa you will see a cosy garden. I can imagine planting herbs or just sitting out in the morning with a strong coffee. In the evenings you actually hear birds and sometimes you notice the sky goes this warm orange. Kids end up playing in the yard or you get neighbours wandering by and waving. It has that kind of feel.
Heading upstairs you find four bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms, which really helps when everyone is busy in the mornings or just wants privacy. Built in wardrobes everywhere, so no need for stacks of suitcases or shoeboxes under the bed. There is a family area up here too, tucked between the rooms. Some people use it for homework, or just a film night with the lights down. I like how you can look out at the garden from up here or catch a bit of the golf course view.
The master bedroom is the one that gets a bit more sun. You get a proper walk in closet, not just a squeezed in cupboard, and then you step out onto the balcony and honestly, the view makes you want to take a minute to breathe. You see the golf club off in the distance, sometimes carts buzzing by, and just a sea of green. At night with the doors open you catch a breeze and hear hardly anything except the crickets.
With The Turf being in Damac Hills you are honestly not far from good schools or shops for when you just need bread and milk. You can get on Hessa Street pretty quickly. The new Sheikh Hamdan road is nearby and so is Al Qudra and Umm Suqeim. So getting to Dubai Marina or Downtown does not take hours. Sometimes you see families biking or stopping for an ice cream in the community centre.
The community is pretty friendly and you can actually feel like you belong after a while. There is an international golf course, pretty famous already. The place is big, about forty two million square feet, with areas for shopping and cafés too. Weekends are relaxed and honestly you might just stay home and let everyone come to you.
The villa is vacant and ready to walk into. No furniture cluttering up your ideas of what it could be. The only way to know if this place feels right is to come and step inside. If you have questions or just want to walk around and take it in for yourself, reach out any time. At LuxuryProperty.com we just want your next move to feel comfortable and real.
