2 bedroom apartment in Harbour Gate

Some places just feel easy the moment you walk in. That is exactly what happened when I opened the door to this brand new two bedroom apartment in Harbour Gate right in the heart of Dubai Creek Harbour. Sometimes apartments in new communities feel a bit same same but here you really get the sense someone has taken their time with the design. Straight away it just suits you if you like modern spaces but want a little warmth too. The sort of place where you might leave your keys on the kitchen counter and not even feel in a hurry to leave.

This is a roomy spot with just over 1000 square feet to move around, and honestly, the layout feels bigger than you expect. The open plan living area is probably my favourite part. It is got these big floor to ceiling windows so sun comes pouring in by mid morning and you get that gentle city buzz without actually hearing it. There is space for a proper couch, maybe a reading nook if you are into that. Kitchen is part of it so you can cook and still keep up with what's happening on TV or chat with friends who end up hanging around the counter. I can actually see people cooking here for real and not just opening a takeaway box. The finishes are modern but not cold white everywhere. You have these softer tones and a calm palette that kind of grows on you. I was waiting by the window and honestly you lose track of time just staring at the view. If you are up early you get the most stunning sunrises over the city.

Both bedrooms are good sized so it does not feel like someone tried to trim space to add more units to the building. Bedroom one would easily take a king size bed with space on either side and both face out so there is always some light. It feels nice to wake up here, that I can say. There is built in storage so you do not really have to think about wardrobes. The ensuite finishes are pretty decent. The second bedroom could make a good guest room or maybe a home office if that is your thing. The bathrooms do not just look nice in photos they work well day to day. I always check water pressure and you will not be disappointed here. Everything feels finished nicely, not rushed.

So you also want to know about the community. Harbour Gate is one of those places where people actually chat in the lifts or in the little gardens out front. You see kids heading out with their bikes in the evenings and everyone seems to know each other's name. The location is brilliant. Dubai Creek Harbour has really grown into itself now so you are just minutes from great coffee shops and bakeries that actually smell like bread baking. Shopping is easy with several malls close by. Walking outside you get this breeze off the water which you do not get everywhere else in the city. Commute wise you can get downtown in no time and there is plenty of parking if you drive. If you walk there are wide paths along the creek which are perfect for a slow weekend stroll. Onsite there is a pool that is not rammed all the time and a good gym with actual daylight and decent equipment which you will actually want to use.

I know one of the best things about this two bedroom is honestly the flexibility. A two year payment plan just makes it less stressful for most people. A lot of buyers say it is a relief not to have to do everything up front and you can settle in at your own pace. No hidden fees or weird conditions from what I have seen. 

At the end of the day, living in Harbour Gate gives you urban living with a bit more breathing room than you find downtown. It just feels right.
