Collective Tower 1, Collective, Dubai Hills Estate
Sometimes a place just feels right from the moment you open the door. That happened to me the first time I walked into this two bedroom apartment in Collective Tower at Dubai Hills Estate. There is a vibe here I find hard to describe but honestly it is just easy. Maybe it is the way the corner windows frame that open view over Dubai Hills Mall. I actually caught myself just staring out for a while and watching the sun come across the buildings. You will sort of forget you are right in the middle of Dubai sometimes.
The space itself is not massive but it does not feel small either. It is smart about the layout. Everything flows together so the living room kind of blends into the kitchen which then wraps into a dining area. I like that the kitchen feels usable too. I am not talking about some decorative setup where you would never want to spill pasta sauce. You could honestly see yourself putting the kettle on in the morning in your pyjamas or opening the fridge for a snack after coming home from the mall which is just across the road. You get a lot of natural light here and I really noticed how it makes the floors glow. If you are someone who likes a bright cheerful place this is definitely going to stand out.
Since this is a corner unit you get an extra feeling of privacy. It is kind of nice being able to leave the windows open and not worry too much about people peeking in. The bedrooms are not huge but they are way more comfortable than you would expect and both have actual closets not just a hanging rail. That makes organising your stuff simple which is always a plus. You will also notice that there is just enough space in the main bedroom to have a small reading chair in the corner if you are like me and need a spot to unwind. Some evenings you might even hear a little bit of music from the nearby park when someone is playing guitar or you might see kids skating or biking in groups once it cools off.
Living in Dubai Hills Estate really does put you right in the heart of one of Dubai's greenest neighborhoods. Sometimes you just want to get outside and walk among the trees without having to drive for ages. Here the parks and cycling paths are practically outside your door. The coffee shop downstairs always smells good and you will probably find yourself getting to know a few friendly faces. If you are someone who appreciates that feeling of a real community it happens more often here than you might expect in Dubai.
Even though this apartment is currently rented it actually makes for a smart straightforward investment because people are always looking for something just like this. The rental returns have been really consistent according to the owners I have spoken to and with Dubai Hills Mall growing plus the local schools and gym and other shops nearby it keeps getting better each year. Whether you are thinking of moving in at some point or just want something safe to add to your property portfolio this spot makes a lot of sense. The building itself feels young and lively not stiff or formal which I prefer.
Honestly there are fancier places in Dubai but if you want somewhere that feels welcoming every single day and is easy to lock up and leave when you travel then Collective Tower really is a good contender. The views are always changing and there is always something happening down below but inside it feels calm. The only way to know if it feels right though is to walk through and see for yourself.
