Some places just let you breathe a little easier. This two bedroom apartment in Arbor View at Arjan really does it. Sometimes you step into a new build in Dubai and it feels a bit cold or showy but as I walked into this one I actually slowed down. There is an easy warmth to it which is pretty rare. The soft natural light finds its way through just about every corner and those gentle grey tones on the walls never feel harsh. If you are thinking about space it sits at one thousand three hundred sixty three square feet not cramped at all but you really feel it in the way the room opens up. The design is not trying too hard it just works. 

The kitchen here is worth mentioning because it is not one of those spaces you just look at and never use. You could really cook here. I imagined making breakfast on a lazy Friday or inviting friends for a late dinner and nobody bumping elbows. The living room feels relaxed enough for you to throw your feet up. Sometimes you just want time to unwind and I noticed you get that here. The bedrooms are tucked off the main hallway for real privacy and you get that hint of the city skyline past the green bits that Arbor View is actually known for. If you open the curtains in the morning you see sunlight drifting over the parkland instead of just another wall of glass and steel. It is surprising how quickly you forget to check your phone.

The neighbourhood is honestly one of the hidden gems in Dubai. Arbor View by Ellington is the developer's first project in Arjan so everything is new fresh and seems properly thought through. There is this quiet community feel but you are only a few minutes from Dubai Miracle Garden and Butterfly Garden which I always thought were tourist things until I went. Turns out weekend walks in the flower fields become a bit of a habit. Watching the seasons change out there really changes how you see the city. If you have young kids expect a lot of adventure here. There are good schools nearby. Shopping and everyday needs are just around the corner. I always notice the little café right downstairs. It is open early and you see the morning crowd with their coffee some parents with prams a few remote workers just set up for the day. The benches outside often have teens chatting in the evening. Sometimes you see kids still muddy from the park. Even though you might not know every neighbour you feel like you belong here.

The shared amenities ended up being better than I expected. The pool is just big enough for laps but never too crowded which I love. There is an open air cinema that reminds me of old backyard movie nights. Families gather on the grass sometimes with popcorn. You have proper BBQ and picnic areas outside and I have to mention this converted old minivan which is now a BBQ station. Sounds odd but it adds real character and draws you in. People take photos with it and you get these glimpses of community life not just an empty flashy garden. Speaking of gardens Arbor View is generous with greenery which can change your whole mood after a long day. The inside play areas for kids are bright and safe and there are outdoor spaces for them to run off some energy. 

There is a proper fitness studio here with real equipment instead of just a treadmill and a mirror. Wellness space for yoga and stretches too. You see people actually using these spaces not just walking by. Most weekends there is something organised in the community. Movie nights yoga classes a new little event on the notice board. It never feels forced. You join in when you want or just do your own thing. 

There is something about living in Arjan that feels different from some other areas. It is still growing but it is settled enough that you get peace and all your basics nearby. You start to recognise faces at the bakery or the salons and there is always a green view somewhere.
